Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a cognitive therapy training program based on mindfulness for emotional regulation and resilience in individuals with drug addiction and frequent relapse.Materials and Methods: The method of the present research was semi-experimental, employing a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population consisted of individuals suffering from addiction, who formed a non-residential treatment community center (daily) in the Goshet Sohtgan corner of Kermanshah. From this community, 30 individuals were selected through voluntary sampling, and after random assignment, they were divided into an experimental group and a control group (15 individuals in each group). The data collection tool was the Emotion Regulation and Resilience Scale. The implementation process of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy training lasted for 8 sessions, with each session lasting 90 minutes; the control group did not receive any intervention. The results were analyzed using a multivariate covariance test. Results: The results indicated a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental and control groups in both the total score of the emotion regulation variable (F = 66.284) and the resilience variable (F = 19.602).Conclusion: Consequently, this approach can be utilized in the education of individuals with drug dependence, as they represent one of the vulnerable groups in society, particularly in preventing relapse.

Introduction: Organizational intelligence and self-efficacy play a crucial role in advancing organizational goals and can be influenced by various psychological approaches. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on organizational intelligence and job self-efficacy among employees of the National Bank.Materials and Methods: The research employed a semi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test approach and a control group. The statistical population consisted of employees from the National Bank of Mashhad. A total of 30 participants were selected through purposeful sampling and then randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. The research utilized Albrecht's Organizational Intelligence Questionnaire (2002) and the Job Self-Efficacy Scale by Riggs and Knight (1994) as assessment tools. The experimental group received eight 75-minute sessions of cognitive therapy based on mindfulness, following the protocol established by Kabat-Zinn (2001), while the control group was placed on a waiting list. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS-23 software, employing multivariate covariance analysis. Results: The findings indicated a significant difference between the average scores of organizational intelligence and job self-efficacy in the intervention and control group employees following the intervention. Specifically, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy led to increased organizational intelligence and job self-efficacy among National Bank employees (P < 0.001).Conclusion: Given the effectiveness of this approach on the aforementioned variables, it is recommended to implement mindfulness-based cognitive therapy as a strategic method to enhance the individual and psychological capabilities of employees.

Introduction: Pregnancy is a particularly sensitive period in a woman's life, during which marital satisfaction can fluctuate due to various physical and psychological changes. It is essential to implement measures that enhance marital satisfaction during this time. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of virtual lifestyle education based on Bandura's self-efficacy theory on the marital satisfaction of pregnant women in Ferdows city.
Materials and Methods: This semi-experimental study was conducted in 2019 with 90 pregnant women attending health centers. Participants were randomly assigned to either an intervention group or a control group. The intervention group received lifestyle training based on Bandura's self-efficacy theory over four weeks, with sessions held twice a week.
The study utilized Inrich's questionnaires to assess demographic characteristics and marital satisfaction, which were completed before the intervention, immediately after, and one month later. The results were analyzed using SPSS software version 21 and appropriate statistical tests.
Results: In this study, the demographic characteristics of both groups did not differ significantly (P > 0.05). The marital satisfaction score prior to the intervention was 135.02 ± 10.27 in the intervention group and 137.04 ± 8.52 in the control group, showing no statistically significant difference (P = 0.31). However, immediately after the intervention, marital satisfaction increased significantly in the intervention group compared to the control group (P < 0.001). This increase was also significant one month after the intervention (P < 0.001).
Conclusion: Virtual lifestyle training based on Bandura's self-efficacy theory is effective in improving the marital satisfaction of pregnant women.

Introduction: The main idea of the current research is based on the principle that the decisive role of heads of academic departments in educational groups has been neglected in efforts to create transformation and achieve quality and excellence at universities. To address this scientific gap in the country, this research presents a development model for the heads of academic departments in Iran's Medical Sciences Universities.
Materials and Methods: This research is applied in terms of purpose and is classified as qualitative research based on thematic analysis for data collection. The statistical population of the study consisted of resources related to the heads of academic departments at the world's top universities and the development of these leaders. After reviewing the sources extracted from various databases, 45 resources were purposefully selected. Data were analyzed using coding and thematic analysis methods, and King et al.'s validation methods were employed to ensure data reliability.
Results: After data analysis, 59 basic themes and 6 organizing themes were extracted from two global themes. The results indicated that the development model for heads of academic departments can be summarized in two global themes: "Academic Leadership" and "Administrative Leadership." The Academic Leadership theme comprises two organizing themes (Leadership of Educational Excellence and Leadership of Research Excellence). Additionally, the global Administrative Leadership theme includes four organizing themes (Administrative-Executive, Financial Management, Human Relations, and Human Resources Management).
Conclusion: The strength of the current research lies in its approach of moving from tasks to competence and from competence to growth. In other words, the model presented in this research can be applied in various fields, including the design of development programs, the formulation of job descriptions, and the establishment of criteria and indicators for the selection and appointment of heads of academic departments.

Introduction: Irisin, a myokine released in response to physical activity, has garnered interest due to its potential connection to depression. This study aims to comprehensively review the existing research on the relationship between irisin and depression.Materials and Methods: A systematic search was conducted to identify studies investigating irisin levels in individuals with depression. Keyword searches for "irisin" and "depression" were performed in databases such as Google Scholar, Google, and PubMed from 1990 to 2024.Results: The findings suggest that irisin can traverse the blood-brain barrier, activating intracellular pathways that may alleviate depression symptoms by regulating glucose metabolism through glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and glycogen pathways. Furthermore, irisin is implicated in activating the BDNF pathway, which may play a role in mediating its effects on depression. However, human studies present conflicting results regarding irisin levels and their relationship to depression. Conclusion: While promising results have been observed in cell and animal studies, further research involving human subjects is necessary to fully understand the complex relationship between irisin and depression. Additional investigations are recommended to enhance our understanding of this field.

Introduction: Mental health is closely related to emotions and feelings. In this regard, emotional maturity can provide the groundwork for managing emotions in response to environmental demands. The present study aimed to predict emotional maturity based on early maladaptive schemas, mediated by perceived social support, in college students.Materials and Methods: The research method was descriptive and correlational. The study population consisted of Ferdowsi University students enrolled in the academic year 2022-2023. Among them, 353 individuals were selected through convenience sampling. The Singh and Bhargava Emotional Maturity Scale (1990), the Young Schema Questionnaire (1998), and the Zimet et al. Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale (1988) were used for data collection. To examine the mediating role of a variable, structural equation modeling using AMOS 26 was employed. Results: The Pearson correlation coefficient indicated a significant negative correlation between early maladaptive schemas and emotional maturity, as well as between early maladaptive schemas and perceived social support. Additionally, there was a significant positive correlation between emotional maturity and perceived social support. The results of the structural equation model indicated that the relationship between early maladaptive schemas and emotional maturity can be mediated by perceived social support. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this research, conducting individual or group sessions based on schema therapy for students and teaching appropriate support methods for family members can be crucial in fostering emotional maturity among students.

Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases increase mortality and disability, decrease quality of life, and impose heavy costs along with many social problems. When a heart attack occurs, performing life-saving first aid is considered the only effective action until the emergency medical team arrives. The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of teaching basic life-saving measures for adults on the knowledge and performance of general education learners in Sabzevar city in 2023.Materials and Methods: This semi-experimental research was conducted by sampling 125 citizens of Sabzevar using a stratified random method. The awareness and performance of the participants were measured before, immediately after, and two months after the training using a questionnaire and a researcher's checklist based on the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association. Results: The results of the research showed a significant relationship between the level of awareness and the performance of the participants in public education, before and after the intervention. The average knowledge and performance scores of the research samples decreased slightly two months after the intervention, which was statistically significant (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Despite a significant decrease in awareness scores two months post-intervention compared to post-intervention awareness scores, teaching basic life support measures for adults can positively affect the awareness and performance of general education learners. Periodic repetition of the training is recommended.

Introduction: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a clinical and pathological syndrome associated with increased serum levels of liver enzymes. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) has the potential to effectively reduce liver fat. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of intense intermittent exercise on serum levels of liver enzymes and body composition in patients with NAFLD.Materials and Methods: A systematic search of English and Persian articles published in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, SID, and Magiran databases was conducted until January 2024. Mean differences and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using a random effects model. Heterogeneity was evaluated using the I² test, and publication bias was assessed through visual analysis of the funnel plot and Egger's test. Results: The results showed that intense interval training caused a significant decrease in ALT [SMD = -1.91 (-1.47 to -0.94), P = 0.001], AST [SMD = -0.79 (-1.07 to -0.52), P = 0.001], and ALP [SMD = -1.37 (-1.96 to -0.78), P = 0.001]. Additionally, body fat percentage [SMD = -0.57 (-0.94 to -0.21), P = 0.002], BMI [SMD = -0.67 (-0.93 to -0.42), P = 0.001], and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) [SMD = -0.77 (-1.13 to -0.40), P = 0.001] were significantly improved in patients with NAFLD compared to the control group. Conclusion: The results indicate that high-intensity interval training has beneficial effects on ALT, AST, ALP, and body composition, making it a viable option for patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It is recommended that patients with NAFLD incorporate this type of exercise to improve liver enzyme levels.
