چکیده

زمینه و هدف: مصرف دارو در ایران از میانگین جهانی بالاتر بوده و مصرف خودسرانه در میان سالمندان، به علت ابتلا به بیماری‌های مزمن شیوع دارد. از آنجا که داروخانه‌ها نقشی حیاتی در زنجیره سلامت سالمندان ایفا می‌کنند، این مطالعه با هدف ارزیابی داروخانه‌های شهر مشهد بر اساس شاخص‌های شهر دوستدار سالمند انجام شده است.
مواد و روش­ها: این پژوهش یک مطالعه توصیفی-تحلیلی و مقطعی بود که در داروخانه‌های شهر مشهد در سال 1402 انجام شد. نمونه‌گیری به روش غیرتصادفی در دسترس صورت گرفت. داده‌ها با استفاده از چک‌لیست استاندارد اقتباس شده از مطالعات معتبر (باستانی و همکاران، ۲۰۱۷) شامل حیطه‌های فیزیکی، مراقبتی، تأمین خدمات دارویی و عاطفی جمع‌آوری گردید. به منظور حذف سوگیری خودگزارش‌دهی، تکمیل چک‌لیست‌ها توسط ناظران مستقل انجام شد. داده‌ها در نرم‌افزار آماری SPSS با استفاده از آزمون‌های دقیق فیشر و من-ویتنی تحلیل شد.
یافته­ها: ۱۰۱ داروخانه شامل ۹ مرکز دولتی و ۹۲ مرکز خصوصی بررسی شدند. اکثر داروخانه‌های خصوصی (26/53%) و دولتی (67/66%) در سطح "متوسط" قرار داشتند. بین نوع مالکیت داروخانه و شاخص کل ارتباط معناداری یافت نشد (P>0.05). اما در حیطه فیزیکی، داروخانه‌های دولتی نمره بهتری نسبت به مراکز خصوصی کسب کردند که این تفاوت از نظر آماری معنادار بود (P=0.040).
نتیجه‌گیری: استقرار داروخانه‌های دوستدار سالمند فراتر از تغییرات فیزیکی ساده است و نیازمند بازنگری سیستمی در زنجیره خدمات، آموزش تخصصی پرسنل و وضع حمایت‌های بیمه‌ای می‌باشد.

Evaluation of Community Pharmacies in Mashhad Based on Age-Friendly City Criteria

Background and Objective: Average medication consumption in Iran exceeds the global average, and self-medication is prevalent among the elderly due to the presence of chronic diseases. Given the vital role pharmacies play in the healthcare chain for the elderly, this study aimed to evaluate pharmacies in Mashhad based on age-friendly city indicators.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study was conducted in community pharmacies in Mashhad in 2023. A convenience sampling method was applied. Data were collected using a standardized checklist adapted from validated sources (Bastani et al., 2017), covering four domains: physical environment, care services, pharmaceutical supply, and emotional support. To reduce self-report bias, all assessments were completed through independent on-site observations by trained external evaluators. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, applying Fisher’s exact test and the Mann–Whitney U test.
Results: A total of 101 pharmacies were assessed, including 9 public and 92 private pharmacies. Most pharmacies were classified as having a moderate level of compliance with age-friendly standards (private: 53.26%, public: 66.67%). No significant association was found between ownership type and overall score (P > 0.05). However, public pharmacies scored significantly higher in the physical domain (P = 0.040).
Conclusion: Implementing age-friendly pharmacy standards requires more than physical modifications and calls for systemic reforms in pharmaceutical services, targeted workforce training, and stronger health insurance and policy support.
