چکیده

زمینه و هدف: کنترل عفونت در بخش اورژانس از اهمیت بالایی دارد. باتوجه‌به اینکه تاکنون مطالعه‌ای در مورد تأثیر تحلیل حالات خطا بر کنترل عفونت بخش اورژانس انجام نشده، این مطالعه باهدف تعیین تأثیر به‌کارگیری روش تحلیل حالات خطا و اثرات آن در فرایند کنترل عفونت بر میزان رعایت دستورالعمل‌های کنترل عفونت توسط پرستاران در بخش اورژانس بیمارستان 22 بهمن نیشابور انجام شد.
مواد و روش­ها: مطالعه نیمه‌تجربی با روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس بر روی 40 پرستار بخش اورژانس انجام شد. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها، چک‌لیست اصول کنترل عفونت بود. با تشکیل یک جلسه 4 ساعته با روش بارش افکار، نظرات کارشناسان در مورد کنترل مطلوب عفونت و راهکارهای ارتقاء آن جمع‌آوری و اجرا گردید. قبل و دو هفته بعد از مداخله، رفتار کنترل عفونت پرسنل ارزیابی شد. از فراوانی، میانگین و انحراف‌معیار و تی زوجی برای تجزیه‌وتحلیل استفاده شد.
یافته­ها: اولویت خطرها به‌ترتیب شامل: شستن دست، استفاده از ماسک و عینک، رعایت نکات ایمنی، استفاده از گان و دستکش بود. میانگین سنی شرکت‌کنندگان 94/6 ±10/32 بود. در قبل از مداخله استفاده از هندراب 94/3 ± 02/23 بود که در بعد از مداخله به 88/3 ± 12/22 رسید که تفاوت معنی‌داری دیده نشد (09/0=P). رعایت اصول ایمنی و پوشیدن دستکش هم قبل و بعد از مداخله تفاوت معنی‌داری داشت (05/0>P).
نتیجه‌گیری: مداخلات تأثیر قابل‌توجهی بر رعایت رعایت نکات ایمنی و استفاده از دستکش داشت. لذا پیشنهاد می‌شود مراکز درمانی شیوه FMEA برای ارتقای اصول کنترل عفونت علاوه‌بر روش‌های معمول استفاده کنند

Background: Infection control in the emergency department is of paramount importance but no study has been conducted on the impact of FMEA on infection control in emergency departments. This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the FMEA method on the level of adherence to infection control guidelines by nurses in the emergency department.
Materials and Methods: A quasi-experimental study was conducted using a convenience sampling method on 40 nurses working in the emergency department. The data collection tool was a checklist assessing infection control practices. A four-hour brainstorming session was held to gather expert opinions on improving, and enhancing strategies for infection control were approved and implemented. Nurses’ infection control behaviors were evaluated using the checklist both before and two weeks after the intervention. Data were analyzed using frequency, mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test.
Results: The prioritized risks were handwashing, use of mask and goggles, adherence to safety precautions, gown usage, and glove usage, in a descending order. The mean age of participants was 32.10 ± 6.94 years. Hand rub was 23.02 ± 3.94, and 22.12 ± 3.88 before and after intervention respectively; but the difference was not statistically significant (P = 0.09). Significant improvements were observed in adherence to safety precautions and glove usage before and after the intervention (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: The interventions had a significant effect on improving adherence to safety precautions and glove usage. Therefore, it is recommended that healthcare centers adopt the FMEA approach alongside conventional methods to enhance infection control practices.
