چکیده
زمینه و هدف: بسیاری از مواد شیمیایی و داروهای مورداستفاده در مؤسسات بهداشتی ، خطرناک هستند. باوجوداینکه حجم آنها در زبالههای پزشکی کم است، به دلیل پتانسیل خطر بالایی که دارند، مدیریت صحیح آنها ضروری است. هدف مطالعه، بررسی مدیریت زبالههای شیمیایی دارویی در بیمارستانهای شهری و ارائه اطلاعات برای بهبود کیفیت خدمات بهداشتی است.
مواد و روشها: این مطالعه توصیفی مقطعی طی 4 ماه در چهار بیمارستان دولتی شهر سبزوار (بیمارستانهای امداد، مبینی، حشمتیه و واسعی) انجام شد. برای انجام این مطالعه، طراحی چکلیست، مصاحبهها، بازدیدها، سنجشها، تفکیک، جمعآوری، ذخیرهسازی، ایمنی، حمل و دفع زبالههای شیمیایی دارویی موردبررسی قرار گرفت.
یافتهها: در چهار بیمارستان 859 تخت بود که از این تعداد، 609 تخت فعال و نرخ اشغال تختها 71٪ گزارش شد. بیمارستانها روزانه حدود 1500 کیلوگرم زباله تولید کردند که شامل 613 کیلوگرم زباله عادی (41٪)، 873 کیلوگرم زباله خطرناک (58.1٪) و 14 کیلوگرم زباله شیمیایی (0.9٪ از کل زبالهها) بود. تحلیل مدیریت پسماند نشان داد مدیریت پسماند شیمیایی-دارویی در بیمارستانهای سبزوار دارای روند متفاوتی بوده و در مواردی چالشهایی در اجرای استانداردهای مدیریت پسماند مشاهده شد.
نتیجهگیری: یافتههای این مطالعه نشان داد که مدیریت پسماندهای شیمیایی-دارویی در بیمارستانهای موردبررسی، به شیوههای متفاوتی انجام میشود. بهمنظور افزایش کارایی و کاهش مخاطرات زیستمحیطی، هماهنگسازی و ارتقای استانداردهای مدیریت این نوع پسماندها در چارچوب دستورالعملهای ملی و بینالمللی توصیه میشود.

Introduction: Many chemicals and pharmaceuticals used in healthcare institutions are hazardous (toxic, carcinogenic, corrosive, flammable, reactive, explosive, etc.). Although constituting a small portion of medical waste, pharmaceutical chemicals pose significant potential risks, necessitating an investigation into their management in Sabzevar's urban hospitals. This study aims to provide relevant information for comprehensive planning and to improve the quality of health services in the future.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted over 4 months in four public hospitals in Sabzevar City (Emdad, Mobini, Heshmatiyeh, and Vasei hospitals). Data collection involved checklists, interviews, observations, and assessments of the production, segregation, collection, storage, safety, transportation, and disposal of pharmaceutical chemical wastes.
Results: The total number of approved beds across the four hospitals was 859, with 609 active beds, resulting in an occupancy rate of 71%. The hospitals collectively produced 1,500 kg of waste per day, comprising 613 kg (41%) of ordinary waste, 873 kg (58.1%) of hazardous waste, and 14 kg (0.9%) of chemical waste.
Conclusion: In this study, hospitals had significant deficiencies in the management of pharmaceutical chemical wastes (identification, separation, collection, storage, and disposal). A comprehensive review of the waste management practices and adherence to the chemical and pharmaceutical waste management guidelines in the health centers is essential.
