Background: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of cognitive therapy based on mindfulness and behavioral activation therapy on cognitive avoidance and emotion regulation in people with generalized anxiety disorder.Materials and Methods: The research was of an applied type, with a semi-experimental method with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population included all the people suffering from generalized anxiety disorder in Mashhad in 2019, out of which 45 samples were selected from the Pulse of Life Psychotherapy Clinic and divided into 3 groups of 15 people (2 experimental groups and 1 control group). Randomly replaced and in three stages of pre-test, post-test and follow-up, they responded to the general anxiety disorder scale of Spitzer et al. (2006), cognitive avoidance by Sexton and Dagas (2008) and emotional regulation difficulty by Gertz and Romes (2004). The first group received 8 sessions of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy by Kabat-Zinn et al. (1992) and the second group received 8 sessions of behavioral activation therapy by Dimigian et al. (2008) and the control group did not receive any treatment. The data was analyzed using Spss statistical software. Results: The results of analysis of variance with repeated measurement showed that both treatments were effective on cognitive avoidance and emotion regulation of the sample (p<0.05), but there is no significant difference in the effect of the two methods (p<0.227).Conclusion: Both treatments can be used to reduce the psychological problems of people with generalized anxiety disorder

Introduction: The job burnout experience in hospital staff reduces their services quality to patients and society in addition to threating the health of themselves. The purpose of this research is to predict job burnout based on the meaning in life and emotion regulation in hospital staff of Zanjan city.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive-correlation study was conducted in 2022 on 110 employees of one of the hospitals in Zanjan. Data were gathered by Maslesh's job burnout, Grass's emotion regulation, and Steger's meaning in life questionnaires. Statistical analysis of data was done with Pearson's correlation test and stepwise regression.
Results: There is a significant relationship between job burnout, meaning in life and emotion regulation (p<0.01). In addition, the meaning in life is a stronger predictor (with a coefficient of -0.537) for job burnout. This variable alone predicts 28% of the variance of burnout (p<0.001). In the second step of the analysis, the emotion regulation variable increased the prediction power to 32.6% (p<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the findings, the effect of the life meaning on job burnout is more than emotion regulation. This article indicates that the meaning in life is one of the important concepts in job burnout, but in researches, less attention has been paid to it. However, it may be possible to prevent or reduce burnout by taking advantages of the positive consequences of meaning in life (presence or search).

Introduction: Increasing drug use among adolescents has reached an epidemicThis study aimed Causal Modeling of Tendency to Addiction Based on Anxiety Sensitivity Mediated by Mediation Difficult in Emotion Regulation in Male Adolescents.
Materials and Methods: The method of this study was descriptive-correlational. The whole students studying in Parsabad city in the year 2019 formed the statistical population of this study. Two hundred thirty-one of them were selected through cluster sampling from above statistical population and they were asked to respond to questionnaires of anxiety sensitivity, tendency to addiction and Difficulties in Emotion Regulation. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equating modeling (SEM) using SPSS-25 and Lisrel 8.8software.
Results: The results showed that anxiety sensitivity was directly and indirectly associated with tendency to addiction (with difficulty mediating emotion regulation). The research model is well-fitted with difficult mediation in emotion regulation. Model fit indices also confirmed the association between anxiety sensitivity to addiction tendency and difficulty in emotion regulation.
Conclusion: The results showed that anxiety sensitivity as an independent variable and difficulty in emotion regulation as mediator variable are important factors in predicting addiction tendency. Which can be useful in planning prevention interventions and workshops to manage and control emotion and anxiety adjustment strategies.

Background and objectives: Low quality of life and high stress are the most frequently stated problems that faced by in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorders. This research aims to understand the role of emotion regulation and personality traits as predictors of quality of life and general health in a sample of mothers of children diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders.Materials & Methods: This study was a descriptive-correlation design. It was done in Tehran in 1396.Eighty mothers participated through convenient sampling. Mothers answered a questionnaire on Emotion Regulation Strategies, General Health, Five-Factor Inventory (brief form), Who-Quality of life. Data was analyzed by SPSS-23. Stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the data. Results: Results show that the emotion regulation strategies as repression and personality traits like extroversion and neurosis predict general health and quality of life in mothers. Results were significant at the p = 0.05 level. Conclusion: Our results indicated the significant role of emotion regulation strategies and personality traits in general health and quality of life. Developing interventions in emotion regulation could be help to improve mother’s general health. Hence the design of studies in the field of setting up the excitement of mothers and strengthen positive personality characteristics, such as the extroversion can improve the quality of life and general health.

Background and Aim: The spread of violence and aggression in Iranian society, especially in recent years, is one of the most serious social harm. The present study aimed to determine a structural model for aggression based on the emotion regulation, alexithymia, impulsivity and sensation seeking in students.Materials and Methods: The method of this research is descriptive and the research design is correlation of the type of structural equation modeling. Sample of the research includes 210 students (136 girls and 74 boys) from the Islamic Azad University of Rasht in the second semester in 1391-97 year that They were selected by cluster sampling method and completed aggression questionnaire (AQ), emotional dysregulation scale (DERS), Baret's impulsivity questionnaire, Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TASS), and Zuckerman's sensation seeking Scale. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive indexes, Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling. Results: The results of this study showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the variables of emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, alexithymia and sensation seeking with aggression in students (P
