Background: Nurse and parent participation in providing family-centered care is a well-known concept. Emotional intelligence and competence are the basic prerequisite for participatory nursing based on supportive interactions. Therefore, this research was carried out with the aim of determining the relationship between parent-nurse partnership and competency and emotional intelligence of nurses in pediatric departments.Materials and Methods: This study is a descriptive-analytical study of the correlation type. 100 nurses of children's wards of Shahrekord city were studied by census method. The data were collected using three standard questionnaires of emotional intelligence Wong & Low (2002), competence of nurses Liu et al. (2007) and nurse and Pediatric nurse parent partnership scale Choi and Bang. The data was analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics (Spearman's correlation coefficient) with SPSS 24 software. Results: The results of the study showed that there is a relationship between parent nurse partnership and the competency of nurses in pediatric departments (r=0.237, p=0.017) and there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and the competency of nurses (r=0.451, p=0.001). However, the relationship between the score of emotional intelligence and the score of parent-nurse partnership in pediatric departments was not significant (r=0.024, p=0.815).Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, the competence of nurses can increase the participation of parents of nurses. Therefore, planning to increase the competence of children's nurses in the formal education period and in-service can help to promote parent-nurse partnership as one of the most important indicators of family-oriented care.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of implementing a conflict management program on job conflict and nurses' conflict resolution styles. Methods: This experimental-interventional and before-after study was performed on 60 nurses in the Kamyab Hospital of Mashhad, Iran, in 2020. A conflict management workshop was held for the intervention group for 6 hours. Then, one week after the workshop, two intra-departmental sessions were held. In both intervention and control groups, Dubrin Job Conflict Questionnaires and Thomas-Kilman conflict mode instrument were completed at the beginning, fifteen days, and one month after the end of the inpatient sessions. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 16.Results: Fifteen days and one month after the intervention, the mean score of job conflict in the intervention group significantly decreased compared to the control group and before the intervention (p = 0.003, p = 0.008, and p<0.001, respectively). Implementing a conflict management program increased the tendency to use a collaborative style compared to the control group (p = 0.02). Tendency to this style in the intervention group increased fifteen days and one month after the workshop compared to before the course (p <0.001).Conclusion: Findings showed that the implementation of conflict management programs for nurses leads to a reduction in job conflicts among them. Further studies are suggested to explain the role of conflict management program implementation in the functioning of the health system.

Background and aims: An increasing trend in the use of ICT in the present time has caused some changes in the educational system and its methods so it has doubled the need for researches and studies to be done in this domain. So, this study was to compare three methods: e-learning, Traditional-E learning and traditional learning in the pharmacology lesson of nursing student to move forward for changing the educational system to an effective one.
Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 90 nursing students that have entered university during educational years of 2014 and 2015 and have passed the pharmacology lesson in their second semester were selected, based on purposive sampling methods, and agreed to participate in the study. They were then assigned to three groups that each had 30 students in it (e-learning, Traditional-E learning and traditional learning). By the end of examination they were compared on the mean results of their final tests and the impact of the three different methods were examined.
Findings: Based on the results of the mean final scores of the students at the end of test we found out that the difference between the three methods was significant. It was concluded that the Traditional-E learning method was successful for students due to an increase in their final results.
Conclusions:Traditional-E learning method can be used as an alternative in teaching pharmacology for nursing.

Because of impact of decisiveness on the mental health, this study performed to determine factors that weakened or facilitate decisiveness among nursing and midwifery students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed among nursing and midwifery students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences, in 2013. Data collection tool was a three parts questionnaire containing demography questions, Rathus Assertiveness Schedule and the Spielberger Anger Expression Scale. Data were analyzed in SPSS software version 19.
Results: The results indicated that 20% (n = 17) of midwifery students and 22% (n = 35) of nursing students had high decisiveness. Most of midwifery (60%, n = 50) and nursing (60%, n= 98) located in the category of medium decisiveness. Also, 20% (16 patients) of midwifery and 18% of nursing students (n = 33) had low decisiveness. Factors affecting decisiveness among midwifery students were semester (p = 0.04), interesting to his/her field (p = 0.04), marital status (p = 0.04) and age (p = 0.03). Among nursing students, these factors were semester (p = 0.04), interesting to his/her field (p = 0.03) and age (p = 0.03).
