Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of peer educationadherence of dialysis patients l. Methods: The present study is a clinical trial that was conducted in 1398 with the participation of 60 dialysis patients by available sampling method and random allocation of samples in two experimental and control groups (30 people in each group). . Before the intervention, information about the samples was collected through demographic questionnaires and adherence to diet and medication of dialysis patients. Then, the peer education intervention was designed based on the educational needs of patients in different areas for the intervention group. Face-to-face and solo procedures were performed during two sessions of dialysis. One month after the end of the second session, the diet and medication adherence questionnaire of dialysis patients was given to both groups again and the data were analyzed using SPSS software version 19. Results: In the pre-test, independent t-test did not show a significant difference in the scores of diet and medication adherence between the control and intervention groups (p> 0.05). While in the post-test stage, there was a significant difference in the scores of diet and medication adherence between the experimental and control groups (p <0.05). Paired t-test also showed a significant difference between before and after the intervention in the experimental group (p <0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: Peer education promotes adherence to diet and medication of dialysis patients, so the use of this educational method for dialysis patients along with other educational methods is recommended.

Introduction: The present study was conducted to determine the effect of education on glycemic control in the elderly with type 2 diabetes.Methods: The present study was a randomized controlled intervention that was performed on 110 elderly people with type 2 diabetes by multi-stage random sampling method in Mallard city (55 in the intervention group and 55 in the control group). The cases received 2 intensive training sessions and then the training follow-up by sending daily SMS to the mobile phone for a period of three months. Data related to demographic status, anthropometric indices, self-care rate and glucose profile indices of patients were collected before and after the intervention. Sleeping is the most important circadian rhythms and one of the fundamental human needs. Approximately, one third of one's life is spent in the sleep. Insufficient sleep has been widespread in the modern society and a large number of people are suffering from it. People with sleep disorders in addition to fatigue are experiencing the defect in cell regeneration, difficulty in thinking, learning and memory, increased stress and reduced the daily performance on behavior. In most cases, disruption in the sleep cycle is an early symptom in the various diseases. Several studies have shown that the sleep disorders are associated with the incidence and intensifying of diseases, and the improvement of sleep quality in different ages, especially in the adulthood, helps them to avoid the risk of chronic diseases during life. According to evidence and the impressive impact of sleep on health and quality of people’s life and also reducing the quality and quantity of sleep in the modern society, this study examines the importance of sleep and its effect on health, especially the role of sleep in the prevention of metabolic diseases.

Background: The aim of this study was to Survey of relationship physical activity level and sedentary behaviors with diet patterns among 12-14 year-old adolescent boys in Sabzevar. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 650 boy students aged 12-14 years in Sabzevar that were selected via classified random Sampling. Physical activity levels were assessed by the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C). Energy intake and Macronutrient were assessed by means of a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). Sedentary behaviors of subjects assessed by means of a made-researcher questionnaire by researcher. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 13 software using Spearman and Pearson's correlation coefficient and ANOVA test. Result: There was no significant correlation between physical activity level and energy intake and macronutrient. In total subjects there was no significant difference in the reported energy intake and macronutrient between physical activity levels. But, in 12 year-old subjects, energy intake, Total fat, Protein and Carbohydrates in low physical activity level subjects were significantly higher than moderate physical activity level subjects. There was significant positive correlation between physical activity level and Number of breakfast Consumption per week. There was no statistically significant correlation between the reported Energy intake and Macronutrient with sedentary behaviors. Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the reported Energy intake and Macronutrient between physical activity levels among 12-14 year-old students. But, energy intake and macronutrient in low physical activity level subjects were somewhat higher than active subjects. Therefore, the results suggest that nutrition education regarding balanced diet and optimum physical activity is required for children's health and growth.
