Introduction: Social media addiction is one of the serious problems in the recent century that numerous scales and questionnaires have been designed to measure it. Considering the strengths and weakness of each tool, it is necessary to have a reliable and valid tool which is compatible with Iranian culture. Therefore, in the present study, Sahin’s questionnaire was translated and its psychometric properties was assessed.Materials and Methods: It is a methodological study on 12-18 years old high school students at Sepidan. The questionnaire was translated and re-translated by experts and its psychometric properties were assessed using qualitative and quantitative content and face validity, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, McDonald’s omega, Cronbach’s alpha and also test-re-test.Results: During translation and qualitative face validity, some changes were made in the scale items. The Importance Score of all items were higher than 1.5. But in content validity, the CVI of some items were low that after some revision they changed to 0.7 and higher. In assessing Content Validity Ratio of items, the item number 4 achieved a critical number less than the Lawshe table and was omitted. Therefore 28 items entered in factor analysis. Exploratory factor analysis categorized the items into 4 subdomains and the confirmatory factor analysis confirmed fitness of the model.Conclusion: Sahin’s social media addiction scale (2018) had a good validity and reliability in the Iranian students and it seems to be an appropriate tool for assessing social media addiction in adolescents.

Background and purpose: Online gaming addiction is a common problem among youngsters. As the researchers and experts’ needs a reliable and valid measurement, the current study was aimed at investigating the psychometric features of the online gaming addiction questionnaire. Materials and Methods: In this cross sectional study, 360 male adolescents of Tehran, were selected through randomized cluster sampling method and have completed Problematic Online Gaming Questionnaire, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, and anxiety and depression subscales of DASS-21. Moreover, Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Exploratory Factor Analysis by SPSS-19 were used for statistical analysis. Results: The results of Exploratory Factor Analysis indicate five factors that explained 54 % of total variance. The questionnaire convergent and divergent validity, were confirmed by calculating its correlation with self esteem, anxiety and depression. Also, Test-retest reliability coefficient and Cronbach’s alpha were obtained 0.81 and 0.85, respectively. Conclusion: The obtained results of current study showed desirable psychometric features of the online gaming addiction questionnaire. Therefore this measurement can be applied for research and therapy purposes.

Background & Objectives: Nurses are the professionals who are doing important work in the hospital and always are exposed to occupational injuries. Safety climate that is important factor is measured by using quantity questionnaire and show a snapshot of organization safety Status. To assess safety climate, a valid and reliable tool is needed. The aim of this study was developing and psychometric questionnaire to assess safety climate among the nurses.
Materials & Methods: This psychometric study was conducted among the 480 nurses in five hospitals in Iran. Using nurse's safety literature and other nurse's safety climate questionnaire, a 25 items questionnaire was developed. Face validity, content validity by using quality and quantity methods, construct validity by using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses was examined. To evaluate the questionnaire reliability the internal consistency and test-retest reliability method was used. The data was analyses by spssv16 and lisrelv8.5.
Results: The content validity index of questionnaire was estimated. Exploratory factor analyses extracted 6 factors with 60.69 percent of total variance. Background: There is an absence of a valid and reliable tool basedon a field study for predictingfactors related to dental caries in adolescents. Also the lack of preventivemodels of tooth decay has been perceived. The aim of thisstudy was to design preventive models by assessing psychometric properties of questionnaire of predictive factors for dental caries inadolescents using factor analysis.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive analytical research was done in 2013-14onadolescents who lived in Tehran city.First, model and questionnaire of predictive factors for dental caries in adolescents were designed based on qualitative research using grounded theory. Using systematic samplings,607 studentsand 400 students (12 and 16 years old) were selected for Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis respectively. The reliability of the questionnairewas calculated by two different methods: Cronbach'salphaand test-retest. Also, in order to determine the validity of the scale, we used three methods including face validity, content validity, and construct validity. Exploratoryand ConfirmatoryFactorAnalysis were done bySPSS softwareversion 16 and LISLER softwareversion 8.8 respectively. Finally, appropriate models for preventing of tooth decay were presented.
Results: During exploratory factor analysis, eightfactors developed: behavioral factors, fear, social support, motivational beliefs, role of school, instructive elements, socio – economic status, and value of teeth. Results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the eight-factor model for preventing of dental caries fit Iranian adolescents and the four-factor model isthe strongest predictor of oral health behaviorwhich foresees 76% of behaviors related to oral and dental health.Also test-retest scoreobtained 0.74 and internal consistency was 0.85.
Conclusion:Based on the results of this study, the validity and reliability of the38-item questionnaires of predictive factors for dental caries in adolescents is acceptable and suitable. Therefore the presented models can be used in designing educational programs. Also this tool can be applied in future researches and different groups of students.

Background: Direct observation is a method for objective assessment of practical skills and giving feedback to the students. This study investigated the reliability and validity testing direct observation of practical skills in the assessment of midwifery students’ clinical skills.
Material and Method: In this cross-sectional study, participants included 44 midwifery students Internship of Kashan University Medical Sciences selected through census sampling method. Based on faculty members of Guilan, Kashan and Zahedan universities’ opinions foure midwifery skills choosed among the basice clinical skills and prepared related check list. Students were obzerved over the procedure in a real work environment by the experimenter and recorded the results according to the check list and objective feedback was given to the students. Content validity - criterion validity (correlation between mean score of clinical and theoretical courses of midwifery and dops - Each item relationship with dops each skill) - validity (internal structure), reliability (internal consistency determination - rater reliability) was analyzed using the SPSS software.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of Persian version of Sensory Over-Responsivity (SensOR) inventory to use for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).
Materials and methods: The SensOR Inventory was translated into Persian based on the International Quality of Life Assessment (IQOLA) approach. Its face validity was determined by comments of expert occupational therapists and parents of children with ADHD. Test-retest reliability was calculated using Pearson rank correlation and internal consistency, using Cronbach's coefficient α.

Abstract
Background: Nowadays, it is of utmost importance to critically appraise the research evidences presented in scientific congresses by the audiences. In addition to improvement in scientific and practical skills of critical appraisal, it is important to use a standard framework as the major tool for peer reviewing. We aimed to assess the validity and reliability of one proposed checklist for critical appraisal of the original research abstracts by student peer reviewers.
Methods and Materials: This study was a part of an educational interventional project that was performed in a setting of a workshop where 40 medical students from the medical faculties of the universities in Tehran were recruited. Participants were selected using a non-probability purposive sampling method. Educational curriculum of the workshop included clarifying explanations on the 31-item checklist for peer reviewing of the abstracts as well as several tips about each item using lectures, simulations and group discussions during 10 hours. Medical students used the checklist twice, at beginning and the end of the workshop to score three sample abstracts. Data were collected and analyzed using Spearman correlation (internal consistency) and Cronbach’s’ alpha methods to calculate the reliability of different items and domains of the introduced peer reviewing checklist by SPSS software. Moreover, Delphi method was applied to confirm the validity of the instrument by experts’ opinion.

Background: Various studies all over the world have found support for the predictive validity of the theory of planned behavior with respect to smoking. In the absence of a valid and reliable theory of planned behavior (TPB) questionnaire for tobacco use in Iran, the purpose of this study was to design and assess the validity and reliability of the tobacco use theory of planned behavior scale in Iranian male adolescents. Materials and methods: Four hundred and seven students, aged between 14 and 19 years, served as the subjects of this study. They were selected through multi-stage random sampling. A questionnaire was designed based on Ajzen’s advice. The reliability coefficients were calculated by two different methods: Cronbach alpha and test-retest. Also, in order to determine the validity of the scale, we used three methods, including face validity, content validity, and construct validity. Results: Factor analysis showed that TPB consisted of 4 components (attitude, perceived control behavior, subjective norms, and intention), which explained 61% of common variance. Results show the total test-retest reliability and internal consistency to be 0.84 and 0.86, respectively. Confirmatory factor analysis results show that the four-factor model of TPB fits the Iranian sample. Conclusion: The validity and reliability of the Persian version of the tobacco use TPB scale were acceptable and suitable.
