Introduction: Nowadays, teaching medical students needs to use new educational methods such as concept maps, along with traditional teaching methods. Which increases learners' desire to learn, focus on key points and organize content. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the effect of concept map on the learning rate of anesthesiology undergraduate students.
Materials and Methods: This quasi-experimental study with pre-test-post-test design was performed on 6th semester undergraduate students of Alborz University of Medical Sciences in 2021. Forty students were selected by census method and based on inclusion criteria, then randomly divided into two groups. In the control group, the lecture method and in the intervention group, the lecture method with a concept map tool was used to teach the interpretation of arterial blood gases. Students' learning before and one month after the intervention was measured using a four-choice test.
Results: The mean scores of students before the intervention were 12.95± 3.95 in the experimental group and 13.10± 3.82 in the control group (P = 0.90). After the intervention, it reached 18.95 ± 4.28 in the experimental group and 14.05 ± 2.83 in the control group, which was significantly higher in the intervention group (P <0.001).
Conclusion: Developing a concept map as an analytical strategy in education, along with the use of lecture method can be effective in promoting student learning.

Introduction: The social situation of the society has progressed in a direction that the levels of tensions entering the educational environment has increased. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) training can be important in controlling stress and conflict in students. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy training on the hardness and individual-social adjustment the in students of Dezful University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: A quasi-experimental study with pre-test-post-test design was performed on 200 students of Dezful University of Medical Sciences (100 in experimental group and 100 in control group) by random sampling method in 2020. Data were collected using standard questionnaires including hardiness (Kobasa) and adjustment. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 16 using descriptive statistics including mean, standard deviation and repeated measures ANOVA.
Results: In the post-training period of cognitive-behavioral therapy, there was a statistically significant difference between the mean total score of hardiness, adaptation and their dimensions in the two groups (P< 0.05). These differences were also observed in the follow-up phase after 4 months of intervention (P< 0.05).
Conclusion: The Cognitive-behavioral therapy has a positive effect on the level of hardness and adjustment of the students and also, this method of treatment can be used to promote students' health and mental health. It is suggested that this educational-therapeutic approach be used in the counseling centers and student psychological services.

Introduction: An increasing number of universities around the world have postponed or canceled their teaching activities due to growing concerns about the Covid19 epidemic.Preventive measures following the Covid Crisis 19 endanger the mental health and psychosocial function of individuals.The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between coping strategies and psychological well-being and students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences during the Covid19 pandemic.Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was performed on126students in1399-1400through available and online sampling. Data collection tools were demographic information questionnaire, Reef Psychological Well-Being Scale, and Blinges-Whames coping styles. Data analysis was performed using SPSSsoftware(version24),descriptive tests, independent t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson and linear regression.Results: The mean score of psychological well-being of the students participating in the study was 78/5± 81/67 &4/79% had high psychological well-being. The mean score of problem-oriented coping strategies of the students participating in the study was 04/3± 55/15and emotion-oriented strategies were 91/5± 43/18.There was no significant relationship between the mean total score of coping strategies and psychological well-being (0/05<p).The results of the study showed that students with older age, higher academic year and students with internship unit used more problem-oriented coping style in dealing with stress caused by Covid19.The results of regression analysis test showed that the variables of age, year and field of study among the predictor variables had significant predictive power for the emotion-oriented coping strategy variable.Conclusion: Due to the crisis caused by covid19 and its impact on mental health, it is suggested that administrators and educational planners,by holding workshops and counseling sessions for students, promote problem-based coping strategies in students.

Background and Purpose: This study examined the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention. Methods and Materials: Study approach was quantitative and research Method was experimental . Research design was design of two groups with pre-test and post-test. The statistical population was students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences that have been registered in entrepreneurship workshop. Using the Cohen tabel and available resources, 20 students were considered in each group. Sampling method was stratified random. Research Instrument was Standard questioneer of entrepreneurial intention from Linan and Chen (2009), which was previously valid and reliable. On the day of the workshop, the pre-test before the start and post-test have been conducted after the workshop on control and experimental groups. After collecting data, research data analyzed using spss 16 software. Results: According result of independent t-test , from variables of entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurial attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control , the only variable of behavioral control between the experimental and control groups difference scores of post-test from pre-test was significant. The average perceived of behavioral control of students who have been seen entrepreneurship education had been significantly higher than the average perceived of behavioral control group of students who were not trained.Discussion: Entrepreneurship education has a positive impact on increasing the efficiency of the students to believe in becoming an entrepreneur.

Background & Objectives: Background & Objectives: Emotional intelligence is a set of emotions and control capabilities which can improve ability to confronting with problems and to achieve proper functions such educational success, main aim of this study was Comparing emotional intelligence in talent and non talent students in Ardabil University of medical sciences. Materials & Methods: A descriptive analytic study was performed in talented and normal ones in 1393 on students of Ardabil medical science university (semester and string was matched). A questionnaire consisting of two parts: social and demographic data and Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory that contain 90 questions was used for collecting data .To analyzes the data, descriptive and analytic statistics were performed using SPSS version 16. Results: Findings showed that the mean emotional intelligence of talented students was 334.36± 0.48 and normal ones was 311.407 ± 734.94, there was no significant difference in emotional intelligence of of students between the two groups (P= 0.072). The comparison of emotional intelligence domains were statically difference between talented and non talented students in two domain independent (p=0/02) and controlling impulsivity (p =0/05). Objective: This study aimed to examine the students' satisfaction from interaction with the academic librarians city of Sabzevar and the factors influencing it, is conducted in 1394. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytic and practical, and the survey is conducted. Data collection is Student satisfaction questionnaire to interact with librarians and librarians communication skills questionnaire. The sample size was calculated using a cochran formula 419 people, Ancient samples stratified random sampling were selected from among all the students of Sabzevar. The data was analyzed by SPSS and minitab through descriptive and inferential statistics . Results: Students interact with librarians are satisfied. The results also indicate that the communication skills of librarians and student satisfaction and there is a significant correlation. Between different universities there are significant differences in their satisfaction, That satisfaction rate is higher than others in the University of Medical Sciences. There is a significant difference between students in different grades of satisfaction so that undergraduates are less satisfied than others. Background: According to recent statistics, the teenagers form 28.1% of the population in our country. Also, 15% of children under 5 year suffer from stunting, and 9% had moderate to severe underweight moderate and severe based on weight and age. By considering the importance of nutrition in adolescence, as well as the role of health education in providing effective training to create the proper nutritional habits, researcher aimed to determine the effect of educational intervention on the nutritional behavior of female students of secondary school in Chabahar city. Materials and Methods: This is a quasi-experimental research conducted on two groups of 90 female students, selected randomly from two middle schools of Chabahar. Iran in 2012 – 2013. The samples were divided into two groups randomly, as control group and test group (n= 45). Data collection instruments was FFQ questionnaire. The questionnaire was completed at two stages (before, and 3 months later after educational intervention) by the students. Following the pre-test, the educational intervention has been conducted in 4 sessions in a 10-day period of time. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 18 and appropriate statistical tests. Results: There was not significant difference between the two groups before intervention, concerning their average scores of the main variables of the study (P>0.05). There appeared meaningful differences between the two groups after intervention concerning the average scores of facilitating behaviors (P<0.001). Conclusion: Based on the results of this research educational intervention has positively effects on the students' nutrition pattern.

Introduction: The death anxiety is defined as the fear of your death and others’. Being aware of death is inescapable the anxiety beside that leads to different behaviors and the health care workers are exposed to this kind of anxiety more than others. Especially when a sudden and unexpected death occurs and a wide obvious malfunction is seen in the emergency department staffs. Study examined the factors associated with death anxiety in students of medical emergencies and emergency technicians performed. Methods: The cross-sectional study was done on157students in Sabzevar, 75 emergency technicians and 82 emergency medical students. Sampling was done using enumeration and gathering information took place by a two-part questionnaire including demographic characteristics and factors affecting on the level of death anxiety and Templer’s standard questionnaire of death anxiety. The data was analyzed by Spss statistics software using T-test, correlation and regression. Results: The results showed that there’s a significant difference(P=0/000)between the medical emergency students’ mean score of death anxiety (6/2 ± 41/24) and the emergency technicians (7.6 ± 27/26). The mean score has also a significant statistical relationship with the students’ marital status, employment status, educational certification, age and occupation (student / technician) (P=0/000) but in emergency technicians, the mean score didn’t have a significant statistical relationship with the parents’s (P<0/088), being interested in the major, the number of work shifts and missions (P<0/123). Background & Objectives: Authority means referring a person to an individual or organization due to the capabilities of that person or organization. For example, an increase in the number of citations represents the authority of the author or a country or even a university or research institute and a special journal on that particular topic. From this point of view, production of knowledge is a necessary item but not sufficient for the scientific authority. Medical students can play an important role in the scientific authority. Materials & Methods: A summer school was administered by Fasa University of Medical Science with the subjects of innovation in medical education and transformation plan, for elite medical students from all universities in Iran. Results: The results of student and teachers’ discussions in the scientific authority workshop affirmed thatforesight and conceptualization along with preliminary studies, feasibility in expression of view points and survey of present approaches, and breaking out of scientific borders by student researches are three major steps in the realization of scientific authority. Conclusion: There are several steps which should be considered in the realization of scientific authority.

Background Emotional maturity and life satisfaction are among the important concepts affecting individual lives that have been studied little. This study aimed to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and life satisfaction of students of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2014.Methods & Materials This study was a descriptive-analytical study. The study population consisted of students of Faculty of Education and Psychology, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Which out of them, 140 were selected by convenience sampling method. Study tools in the current study included questionnaires of Diener life satisfaction, Bhargaqa emotional maturity, and demographic information. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics.Results In this study, mean (SD) of emotional maturity and life satisfaction participants was 27.2(20.9) and 20.31(6.101). There is a significant relationship between emotional maturity and life satisfaction (r=-0.32, P<0.000).Conclusion Strong correlation was observed between emotional maturity and life satisfaction units. Emotional instability could predict life satisfaction and the general emotional maturity could be a good predictor of life satisfaction.

Background & Objectives:Considering the importance of poetry in reducing stress, the aim of this study was to evaluating the use of poetry to reduce irrational beliefs in female students. Materials & methods: The research design was quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest with control group. The research population included all secondary school female students in Urmia in the 2013-2014 school years. The sampling method was multi-stage cluster. The random sample of 30 students who have high scores on the questionnaire irrational beliefs were selected randomly in two experimental and control group and Poetry therapy sessions were conducted on the experimental group and irrational beliefs questionnaire Jones was administered on them. Data were analyzed by using of descriptive statistics and MANCOVA method was used to analyze the research data was analyzed in SPSS.16 software. Results: The finds showed that the students in the experimental group reported less irrational beliefs, after intervention, as compared to those in the control group (P= < 0.005). Conclusion: we can use poetry therapy according to Sohrab sepehri poet for decrease irrational believes.

Background & Objectives: The first maxillary and mandibular permanent molar teeth are the first teeth that erupt behind primary dentition. So they maybe decayed because of carelessness. Caries of these teeth can extend to the pulphorn and result pulp and periapical diseases. The purpose of this study is to assess the need for first molar root canal therapy in school children of 8 to11years old in Rafsanjan in 2013. Materials & Methods: In this descriptive study, 450 students of 8-11years (210 girls and 240 boys) were selected in Rafsanjan schools in 2013, using a random cluster sampling method. We examined their maxillary and mandibular first molars with a mirror and an explorer.We used SPSS version 17 and Chi-square and Mann-Whitney tests for statistical analysis. P< 0.05 was considered as significant. Results: In 57 students (12.66%) there was an indication for endodontic treatment of the first molars. The need for endodontic therapy was significantly related to the subjects' age (p=0<001), fathers' education level (p=0.046), mother's education level (p=0.005) and father's job (p=0.001). Conclusion: Age, gender, parent's eduction level and job are important and influencing factors in necessity of first molar root canal therapy in 8- to 11-year-old school children.

Introduction: Improving competent and active groups’ quality of life level is one of the important health priorities which understanding effective factors have been noticed in the recent years. This study aimed to determine the relationship between religious orientation and students’ quality of life at Qom University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive – analytical study was done on 98 students at Qom University of Medical Sciences using random selection method. The survey data was collected through the religious Orientation Scale and quality of life questionnaire and then was analyzed by means of SPSS 16 software using t-test and Pearson correlation tests.
Results: The mean scores and standard deviations of religious orientation and quality of life were 194/95 ± 14/46 and 524/67 ± 47/05, respectively. There was not observed any significant relationship between religious orientation and quality of life domains of the students, statistically (p>0/05).
Conclusion: obtaining desirable the quality of life and religious orientation scores was a positive finding in this study. Lack of significant relationship between these two components indicates a need for more researches about religious practice.

Background: although, Self-esteem can improve mental health, studies indicated that nursing students'Self-esteem level, especially in female is not desirable. Exercise may be influenced on enhancing self-esteem. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of Pilates exercises on self-esteem of female nursing students.
Method: This randomized control trial(single blinded) study was performed on 62 female nursing students at medical sciences university of sabzevar 2014. After selecting participants via convenience method, they were divided randomly into an experimental (n= 32) and a control(n = 30) group. The experimental group did the Pilates exercise twice a week for 2 months while, the control group continued their daily activities. Then, self-esteem level assessed and abtained data was analyzed by means of SPSS software (version 18) using descriptive statistics, paired t-test and covariance test.
Result: before intervention, the average score of self-esteem in experimental group was 90/09± (8/20) and in control group was 92/80±)9/22),whereas at the end of intervention these scores for experimental and control groups was observed as observed as 100/34± (7/72) and 94/10±)9/22), respectively which this difference was significant statistically (p=0/002).
Conclusions: in the present study, performance of pilates exercise was effective to improve female nursing students' self-esteem, therefore, there is suggested to use this as an attractive and harmless method for enhancing the students’ self-esteem level.

Material & methods: This descriptive study was conducted on 400 students of Rafsanjan university of medical sciences . Needed information were gathered through demoraphic, DAS and DFS standard questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS-15 statistic software and Chi-square test.

Background: Nursing and midwifery profession has been faced with many challenges due to inability to express oneself and justice. Nonetheless, little research has been performed about them. Because of impact of decisiveness on the mental health, this study performed to determine factors that weakened or facilitate decisiveness among nursing and midwifery students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed among nursing and midwifery students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences, in 2013. Data collection tool was a three parts questionnaire containing demography questions, Rathus Assertiveness Schedule and the Spielberger Anger Expression Scale. Data were analyzed in SPSS software version 19.
Results: The results indicated that 20% (n = 17) of midwifery students and 22% (n = 35) of nursing students had high decisiveness. Most of midwifery (60%, n = 50) and nursing (60%, n= 98) located in the category of medium decisiveness. Also, 20% (16 patients) of midwifery and 18% of nursing students (n = 33) had low decisiveness. Factors affecting decisiveness among midwifery students were semester (p = 0.04), interesting to his/her field (p = 0.04), marital status (p = 0.04) and age (p = 0.03). Among nursing students, these factors were semester (p = 0.04), interesting to his/her field (p = 0.03) and age (p = 0.03).
Conclusions: Regard to decisiveness rate among study students and its effect on the mental health and academic performance and career, special attention must be paid to factors affecting decisiveness and reinforcement of them.

Background and Purpose: Personality types are a major factor in deter miring the behavior and mental health of university students and hardiness, as a personal characteristic, affects the resistance of people against stress. This study is conducted on the students of Gonabad Islamic Azad University to find the relationship between three personality types (introversion, neuroticism and psychoticism) and hardiness.
Methods and Materials: In this cross-sectional, analytic, bivariate and single-group study, 376 university students were randomly sampled out of the students at Gonabad Islamic Azad University in the fall of 2003. Relevant data were collected by demographic data forms, Ahwas Hardiness questionnaire and Eyserk personality inventory. (including introversion, neuroticism and psychoticism).
Results: Findings revealed that the distribution of these three personality types is of significant difference. Also, one-way ANOVA results indicated a significant difference between hardiness and three personality types.
Conclusion: Regarding the relationship between the three personality types and hardiness, a well-planned educational program can enhance "hardiness" to a desirable level so that inter personal tension is effectively reduced in various circumstances.
