Objectives Mental health is the most important factor in nurturing and developing students' potentialities. This study has tried to examine health mental and related factors in newcomer students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences. Methods This is a descriptive-analytical research performed on 364 students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences in the academic year of 2012-2013. Health mental Questionnaire (GHQ) was used to gather information and the data were analyzed by software STATA 11. The questions in this study were stated in the form of null hypothesis to be analyzed at the 0.05 level of significance. T-test and ANOVA were used to compare the means. Results The overall prevalence of mental disorders was found to be 11.26% (41 students). The study indicates that, of all disorders assessed, social dysfunction disorder was the most common (prevalence of 32%; 120 individuals), while depressive disorder was of the least prevalent (%2.208; 8 individuals). The maximum prevalence of disorder in female, single, non-local and undergraduate students was respectively 12.75% (32 individuals), 12.62% (33 individuals), 11.97% (31 individuals) and %12.46 (38 individuals). Comparing of the fields of education, the student in clinical laboratory science had better mental health (17.4%) than the ones in other majors. Conclusion Regarding to the obtained results, at the beginning of study, symptoms related to social conflict in students were more common than other symptoms. Confirming the existence of mental disorders in students require more psychological investigation and assessment of students. Thus, providing counseling and psychological services based on the findings are recommended.

Materials & Methods: The current study was a descriptive–correlation study. In this study 98 mothers who had a child with learning disability enrolled in two state and private schools in Ahvaz during academic year of 2014-2015 and assessed using an available sampling method. The survey data were collected through the general health questionnaire and cognitive triad inventory and then were analysed by statistical methods including Pearson correlation coefficient, regression analysis and statistical program of SPSS-16 in a 0.05 significant level. Results: The obtained means and standard deviations were 38.36 ± 7.24 for attitude toward the self, 31.29 ± 6.02 for attitude to the world, 37.14 ± 8.38 for attitude toward the future, and 27.07 ± 11.96 for total score of mental health. There was a significant negative relationship between the attitude toward the self, the world and the future with mental health. Background and Objective: Reconceptualization is a kind of critical thinking on education. By the same critics’ point of view, we investigated to examine the school concept with the role of school in mental health of the students..
Materials and Methods: This study was conducted through analytic-reviewing method that first forthe school concept from Reconceptualist viewpoint, books and other existing electronic sources were studied. ,subsequently, they were analyzed through analytic method as long as were in relationship with mental health of the students.
Results: Findings show that individuals with mental health, have traits such as self-developed character, ability to interact with others, creativity, active participation in life and ability to run their own life. while from Reconceptualist point of view, the sense of self, beauty, friendship and wonder have been lost in the labyrinth of tedious, repetitive, cliché assignments of the schools and the individual is defined based on the success and failure (pass /fail) like a statistical factor. It must be considered that motivations, interests, attitudes and experience of the students are necessary for promotion of mental health.
Conclusion: The results indicate that -according to Reconceptualists- sometimes the educational atmosphere of the schools and universities not only do not promote mental health but also it is a threat for it, because they apply inappropriate approaches, contents and misconduct which ultimately result in anxiety, nervousness and mental stress.

Background & Purpose: Undoubtedly, nowadays the success of countries in social and economic development depends on their university developing plans; yet achieving this goal is not accessible unless they can bring up experts. University students as one of the most important constituents of the higher education system of each country are the foundation for achieving this goal; therefore, any factor that threatens their mental health can cause great loss to the development process of the society and makes the students have a superficial knowledge. So studying the student's mental health and its related factors plays an important role in achieving the mentioned goals. This research has been performed to recognize the student's mental health level so that the positive factors are enforced and the negative ones eliminated.
Methods and Materials: This research is an analytic-descriptive one. Statistical population includes 2158 students entered the university before 1382(2004). The samples are 320 students selected at random. To determine the validity and reliability, 30 students completed the questionnaire as a pretest. After Alpha coefficient got an acceptable mark, data were analyzed by the use of independent T-Tests, one-way variance analysis multivariate regression analysis, samer's D and beta coefficient.
Results: The research results indicated that %33.8 of the students had a high mental health level, %47.2 medium and 19.1% a low one. In addition there was a significant relationship between such parameters as satisfaction rate from the university and instructors, membership in scientific and cultural associations and gender in one hand and the student's mental health on the other.
Conclusion: Since there's a significant relationship between the students' mental health level and their satisfaction from the university, professors and participating in scientific and cultural associations, enforcing the participation of the students in scientific, political and cultural affairs, increasing the students' part time jobs rate, as well as developing psychotherapy and counseling centers, especially at dorms for improving the student's mental health level are proposed as the best instant and continuous remedies.
