Introduction: Due to the high level of stress during pregnancy and the epidemiology of Covid 19 disease, which endangers the general health of pregnant women, this study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of self-care education on Covid 19 on the general health of pregnant mothers.
Materials and Methods: This clinical trial study was performed on 84 pregnant women referred to Mobini Hospital in Sabzevar in the period of June to September 2020. Using random allocation of variable blocks (quadruple blocks), individuals were divided into intervention and control groups. For data collection, two questionnaires of demographic characteristics and standard questionnaire of General health were used. Data analysis was performed using SPSS statistical software (version 16).
Results: The results showed that the mean age of participants in the control group was 27.36 ± 5.88 and in the intervention, group was 27.20 ± 5.71. The mean total score of general health before the intervention was 21.68± 8.12 in the control group and 20.32 ± 7.71 in the intervention group. The results of Mann-Whitney test showed that the general health score at the beginning of the study was not statistically significant (p = 0.50). The mean total health score after the intervention in the control group was 20.31 ± 12.26 and in the intervention, group was 12.65 ± 7.15. Mann-Whitney test showed that this difference was statistically significant (p 0. 0.001).
Conclusion: Self-care education related to Covid-19 disease leads to improving the general health of pregnant mothers.

Introduction: Women's health is the basis of family and community health. Previous studies showed that one of the factors that leads to the promotion of women's general health is the level of different cognitive and emotional skills. The aim of this study was to compare the acceptance and commitment based therapy and cognitive rehabilitation of working memory and their integration on depressed girls' general health.
Materials and Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test and follow-up stages with a control group. The statistical population of this study included all girls referred to psychological centers in Sabzevar in 2019 that of these clients 60 people were randomly selected and divided into 3 experimental groups and 1 control group. Participants in the first intervention group underwent 8 sessions of acceptance and commitment therapy, the second one underwent 10 sessions of cognitive rehabilitation of working memory and the third group underwent 8 sessions of acceptance and commitment therapy and 10 sessions of cognitive rehabilitation of working memory.
Results: The results of the present study showed that there was a significant difference (p=0/001) between the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive rehabilitation of working memory and the combination of these two methods.
Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that the combination of two methods was more effective than acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive rehabilitation by itself.

Background and objectives: Low quality of life and high stress are the most frequently stated problems that faced by in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorders. This research aims to understand the role of emotion regulation and personality traits as predictors of quality of life and general health in a sample of mothers of children diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders.Materials & Methods: This study was a descriptive-correlation design. It was done in Tehran in 1396.Eighty mothers participated through convenient sampling. Mothers answered a questionnaire on Emotion Regulation Strategies, General Health, Five-Factor Inventory (brief form), Who-Quality of life. Data was analyzed by SPSS-23. Stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the data.Results: Results show that the emotion regulation strategies as repression and personality traits like extroversion and neurosis predict general health and quality of life in mothers. Results were significant at the p = 0.05 level.Conclusion: Our results indicated the significant role of emotion regulation strategies and personality traits in general health and quality of life. Developing interventions in emotion regulation could be help to improve mother’s general health. Hence the design of studies in the field of setting up the excitement of mothers and strengthen positive personality characteristics, such as the extroversion can improve the quality of life and general health.

Background & Objectives: One of the most important applications of psychological research is problem solving in the safety challenges field. Based on the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in mental health and prevention of unsafe behaviors, and to promote workforce's health, this study aimed to survey relationship between emotional intelligence with general health and safety behavior (BS) in an industry, in 2014. Materials & Methods:In a descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study, all operational employees working at a publication industry were included. Demographics, Goldberg general health-28, and Bradberry-Greaves questionnaires and a safety behavior checklist were tools to gather data. Statistical analysis of Pearson correlation was used to data evaluation by SPSS V22. Results: Mean EI test score was calculated which was equal to 122.2±15.7. Also, total score of staffs' general health was reported as 50.4±10.4. 646 out 800 of behaviors that were assessed in present study were safe (80.8%). There was a significant relationship between EI (self-management component) and general health with correlation coefficient equal to -0.3. Also, depression with correlation coefficient equal to -0.334 was related to EI significantly (P<0.05). Further data revealed that there was significant and severe (0.8) relationship between EI (Social awareness component) with safe behaviors. Also, EI was not in significant relation with safety behavior (P<0.05). Conclusion:The findings of this study collectively indicated that subjects had not an acceptable situation for mental factors such as depression. However the results confirmed an essential role of EI in perceiving general health and preventing employees of negative behaviors. Based on this fact that education can improve EI, design an integrated package for EI development of employees was recommended strongly.

Objective and background: Puberty problems and the ways dealing with them are very important and girls’ health status in puberty is even more vital. Therefore, besides passing this sensitive puberty period, they have a special condition in terms of their expected role related to their gender in society. So the role of this group has always been considered by researchers. This study aimed to determine general health status of female students during their puberty period and its relevant factors in Qom in 2012.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study was conducted among female guidance school students in Qom in 2012. Study sample consisted of 191 girls who were chosen according to multistage cluster sampling methods from Qom girls’ schools. The study data was collected by means of Demographic questionnaire and GHQ-28 standard questionnaire. Eventually the data was analyzed by SPSS software in lower than 0.05 significance according to descriptive and analytic tests including Chi-2 and Fisher's exact test.
Results: In this study 69.9% of the students were junior students and 30.4%were in the second year (middle year) of guidance school. 31.4% of these students’ mothers had high school degrees and 8.9% of them were illiterate. 41.6% of the fathers had university degrees and 2.1% were illiterate. 85.9% of the mothers were housewives and 13.1% were employed. Students’ General Health Status mean and standard deviation were 26.87±14.72 respectively. The results demonstrated that 48.2% of students had a normal health status, 31.4% had a minor inconvenience, 18.3% had an average inconvenience, and 2.1% had a serious inconvenience.
Conclusion: Eventually the current study demonstrated that according to General Health ranking, the health grades of studied students were in minor inconvenience range and unfortunately the studied students were not in normal general health status.

Materials and Methods: This study is descriptive correlation that was conducted on921 students in the year 2011-2012. Data were collected by a written questionnaire that includes the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) and Youth Risk-Taking Scale (YRS). Pearson correlation, independent “t-test”, analysis of variance and scheffe were applied to analyze the data through the SPSS.

Background and aim: providing care of patient with Alzheimer disease in long term associates with an increase in physical and mental health problems for caregivers. The study purpose was to assess the relationship between general health and burden in women as caregivers of patient with Alzheimer disease.
Material and Methods: In this cross sectional and study, 150 women who had 18-60 years old and were the first-degree relatives of elderly patient with Alzheimer and also being direct caregivers for at least six months were selected through the convenience method. The data were collected using general health and burden questionnaire and then analyzed using by SPSS 16 and some tests like independent T-test, ANOVA and Regression analysis with Pvalu of .05.
Results: The results indicated that 38% of caregivers were in a range age of 51-60 years old. In addition, 75.3% of theme were married and 72.7% had moderate economic status, 82% were house holder, 65.3% of them had diploma education, and 66% were elder’s daughter and took care of their old patients for 6-12 months. Results showed that 24% of participants were in a good level of general health and 62% experienced a high level of burden. Pearson’s correlation coefficient created a significant negative correlation between general health and burden (r= P≤0/000r= 0/661).
Conclusion: According to the correlation between level of general health and burden in this study, health level of care providers is an important health problem requiring to receiving attention from healthy services and professions as a priority in health caring.

Background and Purpose: The theory of Emotional Intelligence brings a new perspective on predicting factors influencing success as well as basic prevention of mental disorders. Evidences indicate that emotionally expert persons are distinctive in all areas. As students are prospective architects of the society, this study was intended to evaluate the relationship between emotional intelligence and general health in university students.
Methods and Materials: This descriptive research involved the statistical population of male and female undergraduate students at Sabzevar Teacher Training University, enrolled for the second semester of 2003-2004. Through successive sampling, 230 students were selected as the study sample. A researcher-made demographic questionnaire, a general health questionnaire and Mayer's Emotional Intelligence questionnaire were used for data collection. The obtained were analyzed using Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Determination Coefficient, simple Regression, Multiple Regression by step-by-step method, Hest and multi-variate ANOVA.
Results: The correlation between emotional intelligence and general health came up to be- 0.68. In other words, emotional intelligence can predict 46% of changes in general health. ANOVA results indicated that emotional repair was the best predictor of general health. Also, it was revealed that female students were of higher emotional intelligence; accordingly, male students enjoyed a better general health than female students.
Conclusion: Emotional intelligence is one of the promoting factors of general health and as well as a preventive factor in mental disorders. Therefore, emotional intelligence instruction is suggested to promote general health.
