Introduction: Adhesive molecules are cellular markers that identify the process of atherosclerotic plaque formation in the endothelial wall of arteries. The aim was evaluation of changes in E-selectin and P-selectin in men with heart failure after eight weeks of continuous and intermittent aerobic exercise.
Materials and Methods: 42 men with heart failure were selected by sampling method as volunteers and were divided into three equal groups (14 subjects) continuous aerobic, intermittent aerobic exercises and control groups. Continuous training (45-70% of Maximum Heart Rate) and intermittent training (45-80% of MHR with 5-10 minutes rest between each period) were done for 8 weeks (three days a week). Fasting blood samples were taken from all subjects before and after eight weeks of aerobic exercise and adhesion molecules were measured by ELISA method. Data were analyzed by ANCOVA at significance levels of P<0.05.
Results: Comparison of the groups with covariance analysis showed that the levels of E-selectin (P=0.002) and P-selectin (P=0.022) levels was significant in all three groups. The Bonferroni test showed, There was a significant difference between the intermittent and control (P=0.005) and between continuous and control groups (P=0.006) at the level of Eselectin and the intermittent aerobic and control groups (P=0.032) at Pselectin level, However, there was no significant change despite a decrease between the control and continuing aerobic (P=0.083) in Pselecteine. Also, there was no significant difference in the studied variables in both intermittent and continuous aerobic groups.
Conclusion: Aerobic exercise with reducing levels of adhesion molecules may play an important role in the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases in men with heart failure.

Background: Evidence suggests that considering the type of heart disease diagnosis, people's quality of life can be different; Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the quality of life in patients with acute myocardial infarction, heart failure and normal in 2014. Martials and Methods: This descriptive study was which 100 patients with heart disease - cardiovascular (50 patients with acute myocardial infarction and 50 patients with heart failure) and 50 normal people who were matched in terms of demographic characteristics of patients In 2014 the sampling were selected. Information collected by (QOL) questionnaire at a significant level of 0.05 and univariate analysis of variance were analyzed using SPSS version 20.Results: According to the findings, among heart patients and normal subjects there is a significant difference between quality of life (P=0.001); so patients with acute myocardial infarction and heart failure have lower scores in terms of quality of life than normal people. Also, no significant differences was observed in quality of life with acute myocardial infarction and heart failure (P=0.670). Conclusion: Due to differences in the quality of life for heart patients and normal people, education and awareness of heart disease in these categories seem to be necessary

Background& Objectives:Heart failure is a chronic and progressive disease, which causes serious challenges for patients and affects on the quality of their life. Education based on self-care needs results in their success on the self-care and positive impact on the quality of their life. This study was conducted to assess the effect of a self-care needs - based educational program on the quality of life in heart failure patients. Materials & Methods: Inthis experimental study, 120 patients with heart failure in Ghaem cardiac hospital of Mashhad in 2014 randomly selected and divided into two groups: control (n= 60) and intervention groups(n= 60).In intervention group training program based on self-care needs was performed, and thedata were collected using the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire at baseline and one month after the intervention, which was completed by both groups. To analyze the obtained data, the software spss (version=16) and statistical tests (Chi-Square, Mann WhitneyU, Independent T-Test,Paired T-Test and Wilcoxon) were used at 95 confidence interval percent. Results:The results showed that there wasn't any statistical significant difference in the mean score of quality of life between the two groups before the intervention. But after the intervention the values of mean and standard deviation of quality of life were obtained 63.62±3.93 and 72.62±3.51, respectively for control and intervention groups, andthere was a significant difference between the two groups, which indicated by statistical test of independent T-Test(p<0/001). Conclusions:Self careneeds-based training can improvethe quality of lifeof patients withheart failure.

Background and purpose: Heart failure is a common and life-threatening situation. These patients have poor sleep quality. One of the possible ways of improving sleep qualityis based on self-care education in the nursing model, thus this study was aimed at assessing the effects of the partnership care model on sleep quality among patients with heart failure.
Materials and Methods: An experimental study (randomized controlled trials) was performed on 102 patients with chronic stable heart failure among whom reffered to Vasei hospital of Sabzevar in 2014. Patients were randomly assigned into two groups. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale was used as a criterion.Interventionand implementation of the partnership care model in one of the test groups were kept running for three months. Obtained data were analyzied based on descriptive and inferential statistical methods (chi-square, Mann-Whitney U, analysis of covariance & Multilevel Logistic Regression) with SPSS (Version 11.5) & SAS (Version 9.1) Softwares with 95% of confidence (95% CI).
Results: The results showed that there wasn't any statistical significant difference in the mean score of sleep quality between the two groups before the intervention. But after the intervention the values of mean and standard deviation of sleep quality were obtained 9.02±4.03 & 4.43±2.89, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups in sleep scores obtained by statistical test of Mann-Whitney U (p=0.001).
Conclusion: Implementation of the partnership care model is effective in increasing the quality of sleep among patients with heart failure. Therefor the implementation of the partnership care model among patients with choronic disease is suggested.

Background and Aim: Cardiovascular diseases are major factor in reducing the amount of sleep and increased nighttime wakefulness. Due to the many complications resulting from medication, non-pharmacological methods that can improve the quality of sleep in patients with chronic heart disease, seems to be reasonable. This study aimed to assess the effect of the Benson relaxation technique on quality of sleep in patients with chronic heart disease.
Materials and Methods: The study design is a randomized clinical trial. The study population comprised 60 patients with chronic heart disease referring to Vasei hospital in Sabzevar that randomly divided into control group (n =30) and intervention group (n =30). The intervention Group did Benson relaxation exercises for 20 minutes twice a day over a month. Tools for data collection Consists of; demographic form and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index that in two times before and after the intervention were completed. Data with Mann-Whitney test, Chi-square, Fisher exact, Wilcoxon tests and Analysis of Covariance and using SPSS statistical software version 11.5 and with significance level p˂0/05 were analyzed.
Results: The mean± SD quality of sleep in the intervention group before making a gentle Benson relaxation was; 10/33±4/41 that after the intervention was decreased to 7/5±4/01. Analysis of the data in average sleep quality of participants in the intervention group before and after the intervention showed significant differences (P< 0/001).
Conclusion: Benson relaxation has desired effect on sleep quality of patients with chronic heart diseases, so it can be used as a complementary therapy to improve sleep quality in these patients.
