Introduction: One of the best criteria for evaluation proper blood glucose control is measurement level of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c). Non-prescriptive strategies such as self-efficacy promotion are recommended in order to achieve the appropriate level of HbA1c. In results of previous studies there is an inconsistence between self-efficacy and HbA1c level, therefore this article performed with purpse of determining the relationship between self- efficacy and HbA1c level in adolescents with type I diabetes refering to Mashhad Parsian center of diabetes. Methods: This descriptive - analytical study performed on convenience 70 young people with the age range of12to18 who were diagnosed with type I diabetes referring to Parsian Diabetes Center of diabetes.Data collected through questionnaires of demographic information and insulin-dependent diabetes management self-efficacy scale (IDMSE) and taken blood samples to measurement levels of HbA1c. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 11.5 with descriptive and analytic test.Result: Pearson correlation test results showed that there was an inverse and significant relationship between self-efficacy and HbA1c (r= -0.60, p

Background and purpose: Diabetes is a global problem and one of the main reasons for debility and mortality in present-day societies. Some studies have indicated that Sleep Durationand blood sugar levels in diabetics are correlated, but this has not been confirmed in other research. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the relationship between Sleep Durationand blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods and materials: In this cross-sectional-analytical study, 244 type 2 diabetes patients referred to the Diabetes Screening Center in south Tehran were studied. After obtaining written consent from the patients, demographic information and information regarding their sleep patterns was collected, and blood samples were taken from them. The data was analyzed using the statistical analyses chi-square, independent t-test, and logistic regression. Findings: Of the 244 studied patients, 168 (68.9%) were females and 67 (31.1%) males, and their overall average age was 58.30±11.22. Study of the relationship between blood sugar level control and sleep hours controlling for demographic variables and duration of the disease showed that Sleep Durationon holidays and working days had no significant correlation with blood sugar level control in the studied patients (p>0.05). Conclusions: There was no correlation between Sleep Durationand fasting blood sugar and HbA1c in patients with type 2 diabetes. We recommend longitudinal studies be carried out in this regard.

Background: Diabetes is considered as one of the most important health issues in 3rd millenary that the number of the patients is increasing. Self-care has been known as one of the most effective method for The prevention and control of diabetes complications. This research was performed to assess the self-caring grades in diabetic patients who come to Qom diabetes community in 1391.
Materials and Methods: this cross-sectional descriptive and analytic study was conducted on 251 diabetic patients referring to the Qom diabetes community and was selected randomly. Demographic and information record checklist and also standard SDSCA questionnaire were used to collect data. Obtained information was analyzed through SPSS software 18 and p value lower than 0.05 was considered as significant level.
Results: Results showed a proportion of 32.99% have never performed any self-caring activity and only 7.97% of them followed these every day. The mean values of FBS and HbA1c were 157.74 mg/dl and 7.74 mg/dl, respectively and also self-caring score was 46.53. There was observed a significant reverse association between FBS and HbA1c values.
Conclusion: Self-caring is substantially unacceptable in diabetic patients who are under covered of Qom diabetes community and they don’t perform some self-caring actions like diary regime, appropriate exercise, control of blood glucose, foot caring and also taking medicine or insulin injection completely and regular. For this reason, these patients had inappropriate values of FBS and HbA1c
