Background: Stuttering is a complex and multidimensional speech disorder that often creates negative reactions from listeners and a very negative attitude towards speech. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of mindfulness-based stress reduction on social anxiety and self-compassion in adults who stutter.Materials and Methods: The current research design is semi-experimental with pre-test, post-test and follow-up. The statistical population of the study included all adults aged 18 to 40 with stuttering who referred to speech therapy and psychology clinics in Isfahan city in 2022-2023. The sample size was 30 people who were selected purposefully and randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The experimental group received mindfulness-based stress reduction and the control group did not receive any training. There were 15 subjects in each group who completed the Social Phobia Inventory and Self-Compassion Scale in three stages. The data was analyzed using mixed variance analysis in SPSS-23 statistical software.Results: The results of the mixed variance analysis showed that mindfulness-based stress reduction has made significant changes (P<0.001) in the experimental group in the variables of social anxiety and self-compassion in all evaluation stages.Conclusion: According to these results, it can be said that the mentioned method can be used by therapists to improve social anxiety and self-compassion of people who stutter.

Introduction: Social anxiety disorder is one of the causes of poor social and academic functioning of students. The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of Psychodrama and Group Therapy Based on Acceptance and Commitment on Students' Social Anxiety.
Materials and Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study. The statistical population included students referring to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences counselling center, from which 60 students were selected through purposeful sampling in this quasi-experimental study and randomly divided into three groups of Psychodrama (N=20), Group Therapy Based on Acceptance and Commitment (N=20) and control group (N=20). All participants were evaluated before and after the intervention and three months after the end of intervention. Social Phobia Inventory (2000) (SPIN) were used for data collection. Data analyzed by SPSS-21 software using Mixed Variance analysis and were analyzed at the significance level (P <0.05).
Results: The results showed that both Psychodrama and Group Therapy Based on Acceptance and Commitment had significant effect on reducing Social Anxiety compared to the control group. The effectiveness and continuity of the therapeutic effects of theatrical therapy and the treatment of acceptance and commitment on social anxiety have been the same.
Conclusion: Both treatments were able to reduce all symptoms of social anxiety after treatment and follow-up for three months by eliminating the vicious cycle of social anxiety. Therefore, these two therapeutic approaches can be used in the form of life skills programs in universities

Background & Objectives: the main goal of The purpose of this study was to determine the difference social anxiety, suicidal ideation and social support between people with transsexual has done gender reassignment and has not do gender reassignment. Materials and Methods: This is a causal-comparative study. The statistical population included all members of the transsexual has done gender reassignment and has not do gender reassignment Association for the Support of Iranian Nursing Patients in Tehran in 2018 (N = 249). 60 subjects (30 transsexuals has changed gender and 30 has not changed gender) were selected in an accessible method and completed the Conner social anxiety Inventory, Beck Suicidal Thoughts, and Sherburne & Stewart Social Support. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance analysis using SPSS version 24.0 at the level of 0.05.Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between people with transsexual has done gender reassignment and has not do gender reassignment in terms of social anxiety, suicidal thoughts and social support (P ≤ 0.01). In this way, transsexual has done gender reassignment gained higher scores in social support and transsexual has not do gender reassignment have higher scores in social anxiety and suicidal ideation.Conclusion: Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that transsexual has done gender reassignment group are more likely to seek social support, but, social anxiety and cognitive anxiety are higher in transsexual has not do gender reassignment group.

Background: Individuals with social phobia don’t have a flexible approach to deal with stress and they are weak to practice social skills. This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the Heimberg- Becker group cognitive- behavioral therapy in Improving Female Adolescents Social Anxiety and Cognitive Flexibility.
Materials and Methods: In this experimental design, 24 patients with social phobia were selected from 2013-2014 highschool female students of Esfarayen, Iran. They randomly assigned to experimental (Cognitive-Behavioral Group Therapy Heimberg- Becker) and control groups. All subjects of both groups responded to Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI), Client Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ), and Clinical Global Index (CGI) at pre and post treatment. Data were analyzed by t-test and multiple analyses of variance (MANOVA) using SPSS-19 statistical package and P values less than 0.05 were considered significant. Also, improvement percents were computed.
