Introduction: Anxiety is a common problem in caesarean section patients that can have adverse consequences. Benson relaxation can be useful as a complementary medicine method to reduce anxiety. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Benson's relaxation on the anxiety level of primiparous pregnant women applying for cesarean section.
Materials and Methods: This semi-experimental interventional study was conducted among 132 primiparous pregnant women who had beeb referred to the Shahada Qain Medical Training Center for elective cesarean section in 2021. The participants in the study were selected by available sampling method and were randomly divided into two intervention and control groups. In the intervention group, the samples were given relaxation training through headphones. The Spielberger questionnaire was used to determine anxiety. Data were analyzed using SPSS software (version 16) and paired t-test, independent t-test and chi-square. The significance level of P<0.05was considered.
Results: Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the demographic and background variables, the mean variables, overt, hidden, and total anxiety in the two groups (P>0.05). After the intervention, the comparison of the two groups showed that the mean scores of overt, hidden and total anxiety in the intervention group significantly decreased compared to the control group (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Despite the reduction of anxiety in the intervention group, the results indicated that the total and obvious anxiety in the control group also decreased significantly after the intervention. It seems that factors other than Benson's relaxation technique in this research, such as studying mothers, participating in pregnancy classes have been able to reduce anxiety among the research samples.

Background: Cesarean delivery is usually limited to cases where it is not possible through normal path, or is associated with serious risks for the fetus and mother, therefore it is expected, Caesarean section should be used in limited and specific cases and the rate of it does not exceed certain limits. Unfortunately, nowadays reported cesarean section rate is more than acceptable in the country. Lack of awareness of the complications of cesarean and negative attitude toward normal vaginal delivery was of the causes of the increased tendency of pregnant women to have cesarean. The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting on selection of the methods of delivery and attitude of pregnant women admitted to the civil hospitals Social Security Organization in 2013.
Materials and Methods: This research was descriptive–analytical and cross–sectional. In this study of 2521 pregnant women in 67 civil hospitals Social Security Organization across the country had referred in the summer of 2013, using simple random sampling were examined. For data collection, a questionnaire including demographic characteristics, the questions about reasons for selection of cesarean, and attitude measurement toward vaginal delivery and cesareanwas prepared by voting of midwives and obstetricians and then, after final approval by test-ratest method, completed through interviews withpergenant mothers. For the data analysis were used of SPSS 22 software and chi-square and T-tests.
Results: The mean age mothers were 27.64±0.21 and also 57% of them had a higher education diploma. The cesarean rate was 50.7% in women in the study. 57% of women tend to be more moderate cesarean (p

Background and Purpose: Cesarean Section (CS) is a Common obstetric procedure and hence, a lowrisk, appropriate and cost-effective anesthetic method is of importance for both mother and neonate. As almost all cesarean sections in the two hospitals of Torbate Heidarryyeh are performed under general anesthesia due to concern about the complications of Spinal anesthesia, the side effects of the two methods are studied in this research.
Methods and Materials: 37 pregnant gravid 1-2 women of 18-30 years old with signal-fetus pregnancy and no other complication who experienced Spinal cesarean section were compared with.52 women who experienced cesarean section under general anesthesia. The side effects of each method were recorded for 24 hours after the surgery.
Results: Mean first-minute Apgar in Spinal Cesarean and ceosarean section by general anesthesia were 8.8±0.3 and 8.3±0.7 respectively which means a statistically significant difference. Mean systolic and diastolic blood pressures were significant. Perfect satisfaction in the Spinal subjects was 64.9% and, in the other group was 5.8%.
Conclusion: High satisfaction rate, the subject's cooperation in controlling the uterus and prevention of atony, good cooperation in lactation, low headache recurrence in 2.7% of the cases, and low cost are the advantages of the spinal anesthesia and therefore it is recommended for cesarean section Candidates.
