AbstractAims: Eating disorders are characterized by persistent eating disorders or eating behaviors that leading to significant damage on physical and psychosocial function. This study aimed to examine the efficacy of compassion-focused therapy on improving symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress and weight self-efficacy in women with eating disorders (restrictive type). Materials & Methods: In a quasi-experimental design pretest-posttest control group design, a total of 30 girls of University of Kurdistan at the year between 2014-2015 who had higher range at determined cut-off point in Revised Rigid Restraint Scale, after initial clinical assessment and qualifications of the study, purposive sampling method selected and randomly assigned to two experimental (Compassion-Focused Therapy, n=15) and control groups (n=15). Data collection tools were Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS), and Weight Efficacy Lifestyle Scale (WELS) that subjects before and after the intervention were assessed by this tool. Background:Pain interference is one of the important characteristics of chronic pain that determines the type and route of treatment. However, limited information is available about interventions efficacy on pain interference. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) on activity and emotional pain interference in patients with primary headache.Methods: A clinical trial was conducted in 2017 and 2018 Imam Hossein hospital in the city of Tehran, Iran. Then, using the sampling judgment among 94 in patients with chronic headache, 85 were selected and randomly assigned into two groups: MBCT (43 patients) and control group (42) and were evaluated in two stages. Background: Self-efficacy is one of the personal resources that plays an important role in social assessment and coping resources. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the relationship between emotional inhibition and fear of social evaluation with self-efficacy in men and women.Materials and Methods: The research method was descriptive-correlational. The study population included all women and men in the 6th district of Tehran in 2017. Via convenient sampling method two-hundred people (100 women and 100 men) were selected. To collect the data, Roger & Nesshoever, emotion control Questionnaire, Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (FNES-B), and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE-17) were used. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test by SPSS-20.Results: The results showed that there is no significant relationship between emotional inhibition and self-efficacy in two gender. Also, there is a negative and significant relationship between the fear of negative evaluation of others and self-efficacy in men (-0.54), women (-0.43) and total (-49.4). The results of t-test indicated that there was no significant difference between the two sexes in the variables of emotional inhibition and fear of evaluation of others and the difference in self-efficacy in men and women.Conclusion: Based on the results, one of the variables that affect the self-efficacy of fear is the negative evaluation of others and the amount of self-efficacy varies according to gender and is higher in men than in women due to educational and cultural factors.

Objectives:The objective of research is to use meta-analysis for bibliotherapy on anxiety and depression disorders for children and adolescent in recent ten years in Iran and abroad.The aim was to combine the results of different researches and extract new and comprehensive results and calculate the effect sizes.Also the research studied that how much the type of dependent variables and different moderators could be effectiveMaterials and Methods:In this study, meta-analysis was considered as a statistical technique for determining,collecting,combining and summarizing the finding that relates to the effect of bibliotherapy in children and adolescent.The population of the present meta-analysis was preceding studies in the field of bibiotherapy and was the all scientific papers published in academic journals,scientific conferences and thesis in the 10-year period (1394-1384) by the subject of bibliotherapy.The papers must be available in different database and have the necessary condition.According to Inclusion criteria of study,14 work by 20 effect size get.To calculate the effect size,CMA software version 2 was usedResults:Findings showed that overall effect size was 0.423 that is average according to the table of Cohen.The finding of this meta-analysis is compliance with previous studies that shows bibliotherapy is an effective and efficient approach for treating and helping to treat disorders and preventing and development of children and adolescent. Aim and background: Delay in treatment of psychotic symptoms is associated with increase in time to recovery, response to treatment, and more relapse rate of psychosis. The purpose of this study is to determine clinical factors associated with delay in treatment of the first symptoms of psychosis in patients referred to Farabi Hospital of Kermanshah.Materials and methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study carried out on 94 patients, 51 male and 43 female, who experienced the first psychotic attack, using available sampling method. Required data are extracted from a clinical interview based on an approved clinical checklist completed by specialists and experts in psychiatry and psychology. Then, descriptive statistics indices including frequency, mean, standard deviation, median, and t-test are summarized and analyzed using SPSS software (version 24).Findings: mean delay in treatment of the first psychotic symptoms was 48.5±65.6 weeks. There was a significant difference between the patients’ history of drug abuse (P-value=0.001), history of anxiety disorder (P-value=0.003), existence of negative symptoms (P-value=0.001), disorganized speech (P-value=0.001), disorganized behavior (P-value= 0.001), on one hand, and delay in treatment of the first psychotic symptoms, on the other hand.Conclusion: Clinical factors associated with delay in treatment of the first symptoms of psychosis are introduced as important factors affecting the level of mental health and full recovery of the affected patients; thus, identifying these factors along with proper planning and interventions based on providing health care services can promote the quality of the patients’ psychological well-being.

Background & Objectives: This study was performed to meta-analysis of available studies on the effectiveness of treatments and offer effective treatment for prisoners suffering from mental disorders. Materials & Methods: The research method was meta-analysis. The study population included all studies with experimental and quasi-experimental designs from 1991 to 2017 in 1124 cases was about the prisoners. 50 studies that had criteria for entering the meta-analysis were selected using a census method. Data collection was done through a researcher-made checklist. The calculation of effect size was done through index r by CMA2 software. Results: the effect size index of all studies according random effects model was t r=0.603 and cognitive therapy with the effect size of r=0.669 was evaluated as the most effective treatment method. Conclusion: In general, the use of therapeutic methods for the treatment of mental disorders in prisoners is effective and the effect of the Cohen classification is high.

AbstractBackground and purpuse: The purpose of the present study is to compare the Adlerian Treatment and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on reducing symptoms in students suffering from generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)Materials and methodology: The current research was conducted using a semi-experimental pre-test and post-test design with follow-up process. Among the students who referred to the counseling centers of the Universities in Neyshabour, 45 subjects who had the criteria for generalized anxiety were in 1395 selected available sampling and randomly assigned to three Adlerian, Cognitive-Behavioral, and control groups (15 subjects in each group). The data were collected through State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and then were analyzed using software spss mixed Variance Analysis, two-way Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), and one-way Analysis of Covariance.Findings: There was no significant difference demonstrated between Adlerian and Cognitive-Behavioral groups in terms of reducing the severity of symptoms in students with generalized anxiety that experienced these two treatments (P> 0.05). there was no significant difference observed with cognitive behavioral group statistically. On the other hand, the Adlerian intervention had a significant effect on reducing the severity of symptoms in students suffering from generalized anxiety (P 0.05).ConclusionAccording to the results, it can be argued that Adlerian treatment is more effective than Cognitive-Behavioral approach in reducing the severity of symptoms in students with general anxiety; the Adlerian treatment was indicated to be more stable.

Objective: The Psychological contracts are defined as those beliefs and opinions regarding commitment among employees and employers being able to regulate the relationship among them. The main objective of the present study is to investigate the predictive role of psychological contract in nurse s' organizational commitment in hospitals. Materials and method:This research is descriptive from type of correlation, Data of the study were collected using psychological contract Hui &al(2004)and organizational commitment alle, & myier(1991) questionnaire, while a sample of 400 nurses was selected using random sampling method. Data analysis was performed using SPSS-18 software as well as regression analysis. Findings: The Data analysis indicated that employee s' psychological commitment can be predicted up to 36.9 percent through psychological contract variable. More over, determination coefficient indicated that 13.6 percent of dispersion observed in organizational commitment can be explained by psychological contract variable. Conclusion: Using of psychological contract to search of relationship between employment and employer show that these relationships depended to personal,social and psychocognitional mechanism.

The statistical population consists of all women who had the first birth experience in the city of Yazd. With multistage cluster random sampling method, 200 women selected and were tested by Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), Sherer Self-Efficacy Scale (SES) and Walker and Thompson Intimacy Scale. Aims: The aim of this research was the effect of neurofeedback instruction and play therapy on symptoms of children with attention deficit -hyperactivity disorder.Methods: In terms of objectives the research method is functional, and in terms of its nature and method it is a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test which has a control group. To this end 45 children suffering from attention deficit- hyperactivity disorder who visited the counseling center and psychological services of Refah, aged between 5 to 12, were selected randomly. And according to the objectives of research, participants were randomly put into three groups (15 individuals were selected for neurofeedback instruction group; 15 children were assigned to play therapy group; and 15 subjects were put in control group). After pre-test, the intervention program was administered for 20 sessions, then, post-test was given. To perform pre-test and post-test, we used Child Symptom Inventory-4: parent checklist; and for analyzing data Shapiro Wilk test, one way variance analysis and paired t- test were used.Results: The results showed that regarding ADHD there is significant difference between neurofeedback training with play therapy groups (P = 0.0001) and control group, also significant difference was observed between play therapy group and the control group (P = 0.0001). in order, neurofeedback instruction had the greatest impact then play therapy in reducing symptoms of ADHD.Conclusion: According to the findings, it can be concluded that the two methods of neurofeedback training and play therapy might be used to decrease the symptoms of ADHA.

Background Among the problems of students who have an unpleasant effect on their academic performance is the test anxiety and lack of academic buoyancy. The purpose of present study was investigation the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on test anxiety and academic buoyancy of female students. Material & Methods The research type was semi experimental with design with pre-test and follow-up design 30 female students were chosen randomly and assigned into tow control and experimental. Experimental group received 8 sessions Intervention based on acceptance and commitment 2 times weekly. Instrument was Sarason test anxiety (1984) and academic buoyancy Hosin chari (2012) questionnaire. The multivariate analysis of covariance was used to data analysis. Results. Findings showed that effect size in test anxiety variable was (post-test=.93, follow-up =.83) and in academic buoyancy was (posttest =.64, follow-up =.61) (p≥.001). Conclusion in according to results There is significant difference in test anxiety and academic buoyancy between experimental and control groups in post-test and follow-up stage. In whole The results indicated the role and importance of acceptance and commitment in promoting test anxiety and academic buoyancy in students.

Objective: The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of drawing therapy on attention deficit – hyperactivity disorders of Tabriz 5 zone elementary students educationMethods and materials: the manner of this research was quasi - experimental. Statistical population was the all of 120 students that diagnosed as ADHD by Psychiatrist and registered in health file in school. Statistical sampling was 40 student that selected by accessible sampling. Selected sample was assigned randomly in the experiment and control group(each group was 20 students). The desighn of the research was quasi- experimental with control group and randomly assigned. Drawing therapy was accomplished for 12 sessions. Instrument was CSI-4, with parent and teacher evaluation forms.Results: Collected data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential ANCOVA test. Results showed that drawing therapy had meaningful effect on reducing of attention- deficit hyperactivity disorder signs.Conclusions:according to results could concluded that with consideration of relationships between teacher and students, with instructional special treatments,could reduce the signs of ADHD disorder.

The present research is concerned with the role of mediating hardiness about early maladaptive scheme with cognitive emotion regulation in the case of women who have been abandoned by drug abuse disorder. The purpose of this research is considered as fundamental research and the descriptive correlation method has been used.Method:The statistical population of this research is women in mashhad vakilabad central prison in 1396, who have been abandoned by drug abuse disorder.According to the official reports of Mashhad centeral prison, their number was 425, which 202 were randomly selected. Field method has been used to collect information and because of the subject nature, data was collected through questionnaire. Also, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data.On the other hand, in order to confirm or reject the research hypothesis, the correlation method and the path analysis of multivariate regression was used.It should be noted that all statistical analyzes have been used with SPSS software.

Background and Objectives:Eating Disorder is one of the common psychiatric disorders that is associated with severe psychiatric illnesses. These types of disorders can cause problems in physical and psychological well-being. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between eating disorders and body dysmorphic disorders and their correlation with psychopathology syndrome.Methods: This research is a causal-comparative study. The population of the study consisted of high school students in district 5 of Tehran, which was selected by stratified random sampling method and based on the sample size of Cochran samples, 400 individuals were selected as samples in 1395. The data collection tool was (YBOCS-BDD), (EAT-26), and (BSI). Data analysis was done at descriptive and inferential levels (Pearson correlation, t-test and regression) using SPSS-22 softwareResults: 67.6% of participating girls and 0.55% of participating boys had pathological disorders of eating disorder. In addition, 0.70% of the girls and 0.37% of the boys had a body dysmorphic disorder. Background and aim: Communication skills are a set of skills that can lead to an optimal interaction between individuals and groups within the organization and provide ground for professional ethics and staff procrastination. Accordingly, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of training of communication skills with religious approach to professional ethics and occupational hardship of employees.Materials and methods: This study is experimental and used pretest-posttest with control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of administrative staff of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences in 1395, 80 of them were selected by simple random sampling and randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups (40 individuals each). The intervention group received 6 sessions of 90 minutes and during 6 weeks, they received communication skills with religious approach training and did not see the educational control group. For collecting data, standard questionnaires of professional ethics and procrastination were used.
