Introduction: Aging is a very sensitive period of human life and paying attention to the needs and issues of this stage is a universal necessity. Therefore, the purpose of this research was the effect of individual and team sports on the working memory and attention of the elderly.
Materials and Methods: The current research method was causal-comparative. The statistical population of this research was the elderly of Arak city, among them 102 elderly with an age range of 60 to 70 years were purposefully selected and participated in this study. They were divided into three groups of elderly active in individual sports, elderly active in team sports, and inactive elderly. N-back test and continuous performance test (CPT) were used to measure working memory and attention respectively. The data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and Tukey's post hoc test using SPSS-26 software.
Results: The results showed that in the working memory and attention, individual and team sports had better performance than the non-exercise group (P≤0.05), but no significant difference was observed between individual and team sports (P≥0.05).
Conclusion: Team and individual sports improve the working memory and attention of the elderly. Therefore, it can be suggested that to improve the health of the elderly, exercise in a team or individually should be included in their weekly schedule.

Introduction: Women's health is the basis of family and community health. Previous studies showed that one of the factors that leads to the promotion of women's general health is the level of different cognitive and emotional skills. The aim of this study was to compare the acceptance and commitment based therapy and cognitive rehabilitation of working memory and their integration on depressed girls' general health.
Materials and Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test and follow-up stages with a control group. The statistical population of this study included all girls referred to psychological centers in Sabzevar in 2019 that of these clients 60 people were randomly selected and divided into 3 experimental groups and 1 control group. Participants in the first intervention group underwent 8 sessions of acceptance and commitment therapy, the second one underwent 10 sessions of cognitive rehabilitation of working memory and the third group underwent 8 sessions of acceptance and commitment therapy and 10 sessions of cognitive rehabilitation of working memory.
Results: The results of the present study showed that there was a significant difference (p=0/001) between the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive rehabilitation of working memory and the combination of these two methods.
Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that the combination of two methods was more effective than acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive rehabilitation by itself.

Background: Many heroin-dependent people have defects in cognitive functions. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of resistance training on cognitive functions of heroin-dependent men.Materials and Methods: The research method is quasi-experimental and applied in terms of purpose, which was done by pretest-posttest with the control group. Thirty heroin addicts from the Addiction Treatment Center in Tehran participated in study as a sample and were divided into two groups: experimental and control. Participants performed semantic strop and n-back working memory test in the pre-test. The participants of the experimental group performed resistance training sessions 3 times a week for 8 weeks in a circular manner consisting of three sets of 8-12 repetitions consisting of 6 movements with rest intervals of 1-2 minutes between sets and 3-5 minutes between movements. Finally, after the intervention, the post-test was performed. Analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data.Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the variables of neutral semantic strop (f(1.27)=5/53 p=0.026), positive (f(1.27)=14/75 p=0.001), negative (f(1.27)=6/18 p=0.019) and working memory (f(1.27)=5/29 p=0.029). Due to the difference in means, in working memory, the performance of the experimental group was higher and also the semantic strope reaction time (neutral, positive and negative) was lower in the experimental group.Conclusion: In a general conclusion, it can be stated that a course of resistance training has a positive effect on cognitive functions (semantic strope and working memory) in heroin-dependent men.
