Introduction: Herbal medicine, which bears fewer adverse effects than chemical medications, is becoming more popular for the treatment of diabetes.Materials and Methods: After measuring the antioxidant properties, the inhibition pattern between the extracts and the pancreatic α-amylase enzyme was determined. Diabetic mice were treated with herbal extracts and acarbose. The blood biochemical factors were then measured. The best extract examined the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs).Results: The extracts of saffron and chamomile petals showed an inhibitory effect on the α-amylase enzyme with a competitive and mixed pattern, respectively. FBS had a significant decrease in all treatment groups, and only in the group treated with an ultrasound-assisted aqueous extract of saffron petals did insulin levels increase significantly. The ALT enzyme decreased significantly in the presence of saffron extract. The reduction of the AST factor is significant only in chamomile extract. The results showed that for optimal synthesis of silver nanoparticles, values of temperature, pH, time, and silver nitrate salt concentration were 55°C, pH = 10, 4 hours, and 1.2 mM, respectively.Conclusion: The plant extracts studies can efficiently lower the blood sugar levels, increase insulin production, and regulate liver enzymes in the blood. As a result, they have a good impact on diabetes treatment. These extracts outperform the chemical medication acarbose in terms of efficacy and have no negative effects on the liver. The saffron extract demonstrates the ability to synthesize Ag-NP, which is frequently employed in biomedical applications.

Background & Objectives: Prevalence of diabetes is increasing in worldwide and because of unfavorable effects of pharmaceutical drugs, there is a clear need to very few side effects therapeutic methods such as medicinal plants consumption and exercises. Aim of present study was to review the hypoglycemic interactional effects of saffron (crocus sativus) extract and swimming training in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats.
Methods: In this experimental research from 50 sprague dawley diabetic rats which induced by 60 mg/kg streptozotocin, 32 rats with more than 300 mg/dL fasting glucose selected as statistical sample and base on their fasting glucose divided into four groups of 8 rats (1) saffron extract, (2) swimming training, (3) saffron extract with swimming training and (4) control. Groups 1 and 3 received four weeks intraperitoneal25 mg/kg saffron extract. Also, groups 2 and 3 swam four weeks, five sessions per week for 30 minutes per-session. For statistical analysis of data used Kolmogorov-Smirnov, dependent t test, one way ANOVA and tukey post hoc tests (p≤0.05).
Results: Four weeks swimming training has significant effect on reduction fasting glucose of diabetic rats (p=0.04). Four weeks saffron extract has significant effect on reduction fasting glucose (p=0.02), insulin (p=0.001) and insulin resistance (p=0.001) of diabetic rats. Four weeks saffron extract with swimming training has significant effect on reduction fasting glucose, insulin and insulin resistance of diabetic rats (p=0.001). Saffron extract with swimming training rather than swimming training has significant effect on reduction fasting glucose, insulin and insulin resistance of diabetic rats (p=0.001) also, four weeks saffron extract rather than swimming training has significant effect on reduction insulin and insulin resistance of diabetic rats (p=0.001).
Conclusion: Regards to results of present study, it concluded that saffron aqua extract with swimming training has hypoglycemic interactional effects in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats.

Introduction and Aim: Nowedays vitamin A consumption to compensate for the lack of it in the body or healing of skin disorders without considering respective side effects is so common.In this research the protective effect of saffron hydro alcoholic extracts on liver enzymes following vitamin A toxicity was investigated .
Materials and Methods: In the experimental study 48 rats were divided into 6 groups of 8 , namely control, sham and 4experimental.Control group didn’t received anythings , sham group received only distilled water. The experimental group 1 Number 1 received saffron hydro alcoholic extract with 50mg/kg dose for 15 days.Experimental groups 3, 4, 5, initially received vitamin A 50000IU for 15 days. The experimental groups 4,5 received saffron hydro alcoholic extract with 50,80 (mg/kg )dose for 15 days.
