Purpose: Aging is a very sensitive period of human life and paying attention to the needs and issues of this stage is a universal necessity. Therefore, the purpose of this research was the effect of individual and team sports on the working memory and attention of the elderly.
Methods: The current research method was causal-comparative. The statistical population of this research was the elderly of Arak city, among them 102 elderly with an age range of 60 to 70 years were purposefully selected and participated in this study. They were divided into three groups of elderly active in individual sports, elderly active in team sports and inactive elderly. N-back test and continuous performance test (CPT) were used to measure working memory and attention respectively. The data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and Tukey's post hoc test using SPSS-26 software.
Results: The results showed that in the working memory and attention, individual and team sport had better performance than the non-exercise group (P≤0.05), but no significant difference was observed between individual and team sports (P≥0.05).
Conclusion: Team and individual sports improve working memory and attention of the elderly. Therefore, it can be suggested that in order to improve the health of the elderly, exercise in a team or individually should be included in their weekly schedule.

Introduction: Elderly marriage is one of the appropriate arrangements to improve quality of life indicators in the elderly which makes the elderly to not be alone and to keep their spirits together. The purpose of this study was to compare the satisfaction of life, distress tolerance and coping styles in elderly men with re-marriage and single elderly men. Materials & Method: The research design was causal-comparative. The statistical population included 40 remarried elderlies and 40 single elderlies of Tehran, who were selected using a snowball sampling method. For data collection, life satisfaction questionnaire, distress tolerance and stress coping styles were used. Data were analyzed using independent t-test and analysis of variance. Results: findings showed that the Life Satisfaction of elderly men with re-marriage is higher than single elderly men (p < 0/001). also, the results showed that there is a significant difference between tolerance and coping styles in elderly men with remarriage and single elderly men (p < 0/001). remarriage Elderly men more use distress assessment and distress adjustment but single elderly men use the attraction and tolerance component. elderly men whit remarriage in stressful situations use focused cognitive assessment and problem-solving focused coping. But single elderly men are more likely to use emotion-focused coping, social support, and physical restraint coping-focused. Conclusion: Therefore, single elderly men are more vulnerable to married elderly men, and more effort is needed to increase their mental health.

Introduction: The Body Mass Index (BMI) and Waist circumference (WC) are well-used anthropometric predictors for cardiovascular diseases (CDV). Recently, two new anthropometric indices, the A Body Shape Index (BSI) and Body Roundness Index (BRI) have been developed. The main research aim is to compare BSI and BRI in healthy women and cardiovascular diseases and association between both with physical activity and anthropometric indices in middle-age and elderly women. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional observational study was carried out on 269 people (136 healthy women and 133 CDV) aged 40 to 70. Physical activity level was measured with IPAQ-SE and Participants divided into seven groups, based on physical activity level and CDV: CDV, active CDV risk factors, moderate active CDV risk factors, low active CDV risk factors, active healthy, moderate active healthy and low active healthy. A variety of anthropometric parameters were measured and calculated, including BSI, BRI, WC, BMI, fat mass percentage (%FM). For analyzing the data, one-way ANOVA test and Pearson correlation coefficient was used. Results: Significant increase for BSI (p=0/036) and BRI were observed in CDV than active healthy. In CDV, the relationship between BSI with WHR (r=0/59), physical activity level (r=-0/36) and between BRI with BMI (r=0/83), WHR (r=0/59), %FM (r=0/65) and physical activity level (r=0/22) was significant. Conclusion: The present study indicated that BRI, BSI and WHR were significant higher in CDV than healthy women. In CDV, BRI and BSI correlated with more anthropometric measures. Received

Introduction: Due to the increasing number of aging population in developing countries such as Iran and the role of social capital and successful aging in the aging population, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between social capital and successful aging in the aging population, Iran.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was performed on 402 aging people randomly selected from 6 health centers in the city, 2 aging homes and 3 open centers (medical sciences, education, social security) in 2019-2020 as a research population by stratified sampling. To collect information from the aging demographic information questionnaires, Onyx and Bowen Social Capital Questionnaire, Successful Aging Questionnaire, and aging Cognitive Status Questionnaire (AMT) were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using SPSS-22 software and Pearson correlation, focal tests, and multivariate regression.
Results: The mean of age of the subjects were 68.8 years. The social capital score was correlated with the successful aging, which was positively and moderately correlated (r = 0.662). Nearly 30% of the changes in the scores of the dependent variable of successful aging were influenced by the variables of social capital and marital status, living with relatives, employment, and educational level (r2 = 0.29).
Conclusion: The results of this study confirming the predictive power and impact of social capital on the index of successful elderly in the community are puzzling and relationship was found to be more significant. Social capital as an independent variable significantly affects successful aging as a dependent variable.in other words, social capital has the ability to predict successful aging.in some aspects including physical health, mental health, physical function and cognitive status. This findings could be a good guide for further research focus and for the authorities and practitioners, to achieve successful aging goals.
