چکیده

زمینه و هدف: تاکنون مطالعات محدودی در ارتباط با تاثیر آلودگی هوا بر پارامترهای اسپرم انجام شده است. کلیه این مطالعات تاثیر قابل توجه آلودگی هوا را بر قدرت باروری مردان نشان دادند. هدف از این مطالعه، تعیین اثر آلودگی هوا بر کیفیت اسپرم در منطقه صنعتی عسلویه می‌باشد.
مواد و روش: این مطالعه مقطعی بر روی 152 مرد که از مناطق آلوده (عسلویه) و کنترل (کنگان) به صورت تصادفی انتخاب شده بودند، انجام پذیرفت. آنالیز مایع انزالی برای تخمین کیفیت اسپرم انجام شد. آنالیز آماری با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS صورت گرفت و05/0 P< به عنوان سطح معنی‌داری در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته‌ها: اختلاف معنی‌داری در میانگین آلاینده‌های هوا بین عسلویه و کنگان وجود داشت. میانگین سطح مونواکسید کربن (CO)، دی اکسید گوگرد (SO2)، و دی اکسید نیتروژن (NO2) در عسلویه بالاتر از کنگان بود (05/0>P). بعلاوه، نتایج، اختلاف معنی‌داری را در پارامترهای اسپرم مردان ساکن دو منطقه نشان داد. مردان ساکن عسلویه دارای غلظت اسپرم (01/0=P)، حرکت کل (03/0=P)، حرکت پیش رونده (03/0=P) و تعداد اسپرم زنده (004/0=P) کم‌تری نسبت به مردان ساکن کنگان بودند.
نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که آلودگی هوا می‌تواند یکی از فاکتورهای مشارکت کننده در کاهش کیفیت اسپرم در منطقه عسلویه باشد.

Background: A few studies have been carried out regarding the effect of air pollution on the sperm quality. All of these studies indicated the remarkable effect of air pollution on the men’s fertility abilities. The aim of this study was to investigate air pollution effects on sperm quality in the industrial zone of Asaluyeh.

Materials and Methods: This cross sectional study was conducted on 152 men that were recruited randomly through pollution (Asaluyeh) and control (Kangan) areas. Semen analysis was done for measure sperm quality. The Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software and P
